There are MANY, MANY threads about this, so take a look through some of them for some great opinions/ advice. Personally, I love my wearable tech. It isn't 100% accurate or anything (even with a HR monitor or a chest strap), but I find it to be really motivating to see how it fluctuates over time. I take it as a a "how do…

I feel like this should be a given for any Canadian Government publication. Always include a recipe for poutine!

Exactly! I totally agree. That's why I prefer Brazil's guide. it's more about the culture of eating and sharing food, less about micronutrients.

I wasn't commenting on you, just a general comment. No need to take it personally ;)

HS grades do not correlate to intelligence. As the former valedictorian who had the highest GPA in my graduating class, I can definitely admit there are more intelligent people out there. When i got to University I realized that there was a big difference between being the big fish in a small pond and being a medium fish…

Nutrition classes should be mandatory for anyone claiming to be an internet expert. I DONT claim to be an expert, but I did have a minor in nutrition in University. There's so much to learn and even more false information out there.

I don't think it's a big deal either way. I love when my friends have it open because I can get some great inspiration and ideas. I would never judge someone's diet without them asking my opinion though.

The OP is eating already eating a minimally processed, nutrient dense diet.No need to demonize someone because they aren't militant about their food choices.

Nude Coffee. I don't know. I feel like I could work that.

Well, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. GPs aren't experts in nutrition. As long as what you are doing is working, focus on that!

dates in general are a good choice. I totally agree that healthy is relative though. Foods aren't objectively healthy or unhealthy, some are just more healthy than others.

I was just about to ad this diagram! it's one of the best on the website.

Just fit it into your lifestyle. If you can't fit in icecream now and then, you're being much too strict with yourself. Remember, it's a lifestlye change, not a diet!
