  • I was being accurate & honest (not even fibbing to myself lol) ..... I won't give up the exercise because I have really come to enjoy it, but it was tough to give up olive oil, wine, taco chips & a few other things that I can "cheat" with on the Somercize plan, & then gain that much weight ...... on Somercize I could go up…
  • Start by logging EVERY BITE as lots have said here ..... & logging activities .... but set an initial goal to lose just 5% of what you weigh now. Losing even 5 % can make a difference in your numbers like blood pressure & blood sugar, & in how your clothes fit .....

  • We occasionally use dumbells & pool noodles, supplied by the pool .... some of our class uses flotation belts, also supplied, although a couple of the ladies purchased their own ..... a lot of our sessions involve moderate jogging underwater, jumping jacks, etc, plus yoga moves like lunges .....
  • Water aerobics 3 times a week for 45 minutes/session, riding the elliptical for at least 20 minutes on the days I don't go to the pool; I hope to start walking in the spring, right now our streets are too icy.
