I'm a week late, only just seen this! But sod it, I'm in anyway, I'll start from day 8. Crunches for me :)

Thanks everyone! Yoga seems to be a popular choice here so I'll try that and walking as walking seems to be improving my back. If that doesn't help, the next stop will be physio.
-
Ha no you didn't come across as screeching just quite concerned but that's completely understandable after your experiences. Luckily my back hasn't been giving me as much pain the last few days and I have been walking around a lot more so I imagine that could be to do with it. If it does start getting worse again instead…

Sorry to hear that you suffered for so long, Im glad you feel so much better now though. I'll be sure to check out yoga :)
-
Thank you for this, I'll check it out
-
Thank you, I'll look into those and I'm glad you found something to help :)

I did see a doctor immediately after and had a CT scan, the one I have just seen recently was my GP. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles but you have a great success story and are very inspiring :)
-
Oh dear, I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm glad you are recovering though. My doctor told me to do yoga stretches like downward dog etc.
-
My doctor said it sounds like it is musculoskeletal but thanks for the advice
-
Thanks for all of the great suggestions, I'll be sure to try some of them out!!
-
Thanks JeromeBarry1, I did try batch cooking before but I got sick of eating the same thing. I may try again :)
-
Hi everyone, thanks for the advice. I spoke to my doctor and he encouraged me to do stretching exercises
-
Haha yeah I tried this tonight, though I went from envisioning my great body to envisioning a super cheesy pizza

When I say late night, I'm talking from about 9pm onwards. A lot of the time it's midnight and I'm laid in bed but it's due to hunger, not habit, if that makes sense :) And I'm not starving myself through the day, I just always get hungry at this time.

Great! Well done! :D
-
Just eating healthy with one or two cheat days a week and gym a few times a week :)
-
Welcome :) Well done on your weight loss, that's fantastic!

I'm not sure if drop sets are different to normal sets but I always start with say 25kg and do 20, then go to 30kg and drop to 15, then 35kg and drop to 12 and then 40kg and do 10. Final go is back to lightest weight, 25kg and do as many as you can. Take a 1 to 2 minute rest between each set. This is what my PT advised me…

Maybe try the elliptical, I hurt my knee and it was fairly gentle to strengthen the muscles.

You had every right to have your input and should not be expected to eat unhealthily for him. Asking your partner to consider cooking some healthy meals is definitely not you trying to change him, unless he's only cooking for himself, in which case let him cook whatever he wants. It definitely sounds like there are more…

I'm a little late but I'm in!!

I do about 20 minutes cardio (10 minutes at the start and finish) and then about 30/40 minutes weights, 4/5 times a week
-
You can't do stairs for 3 days
-
Thank you, everyone, I will keep going and increase my leg day to twice a week, see how that feels.
-
Well I'm just over halfway on my BMI and at 25% body fat so I'd still like to drop another 8/9 pounds and decrease my body fat a little though I know that'll happen through exercise anyway.
-
Thank you everyone, I'm happy to see all the thick thigh love! I do not mind the size of my thighs it's the fact that they wobble all over when I walk. I am not overweight but I am eating at a deficit of 500 calories just to lose a few more pounds but I want to tone and lose body fat.

I have 2 1) To work super hard over the next week and a half before my weekend away in Edinburgh which will include too many treats 2) To have a beach body for summer for the first time in years And an added extra, today I fitted into a pair of jeans for the first time in over a year

Hey! I'm 5'9 and trying to lose another 14 pounds and gain muscle
-
That is great, thank you :)

I add beans to most of my meals. Sardines or tuna for lunch and chicken and veg for dinner. Be careful with eggs because 2 a day is over your cholesterol recommendations.
