You know you chose the right trainer when...

I started working with a trainer, specifically to prepare me for my first powerlifting meet. I was apprehensive, having heard so many horror stories on here about bad trainers.
Here's the things so far that have shown me I chose the right one:
1. When I told him I HATE preacher curls, he said, "Good. Glad I put them in your plan."
2. When I told him I was using Sour Patch Kids to get my carbs in at the end of the day, he said, "I love Sour Patch Kids. A carb is a carb. Your body doesn't know the difference."
Yep. Pretty happy with him so far.
What are your good trainer stories?

I had a session yesterday with a rowing coach who also works with elite high school teams. A couple of the kids came into the boathouse while I was in the middle of a timed test. I was clearly distracted and worried about looking ridiculous and middle-aged in front of the very fit teenagers. She leaned down and said directly in my ear, "Stop it. You're kicking @ss and they're jealous. Now PUSH!!" So I did!
When I was done she made a point of telling them I was training for the big international race next week, and they all looked genuinely impressed. It made my day.13 -

Stabilizers for bench, primarily. Depending on how heavy your load is and how slow and controlled your eccentric movement is in the bench press, developed biceps can help.
Probably helps a little with deadlifts too, I'd imagine. I'm not sure.1 -
