or 2 carrots, or one medium onion.... I recently cooked something that called for a pound of potatoes, I took out the bag and mixed and matched the spuds until I got as close as possible to a pound. Ahhh the joy of cooking

I have a favorite cookie recipe, sometimes they come out of the oven puffy and chewy, sometimes flatter and crisp. It's about the flour I'm pretty sure, packed down it's more flour in the cup. I wish the recipe was flour by weight, it would lead to a more consistent bake

My DIL noticed when I lost only 6 lbs, but she's a doctor. I started at about 200 lbs this time around but in my experience I usually have to lose 20 lbs before anyone says anything. When you only have a few lbs to lose it can be apparent right away

I do "Walk away the pounds" 3 times a week at my gym I also do it at home at least twice a week, several workouts are free on YouTube. It requires no gym equipment and no floor exercises (which can be difficult if your older or significantly over weight)

I went to a baby shower and didn't eat any of the chips and nuts set out, stuck to water staying away from the punch and wine. Ate a very reasonable amount of chicken, clams and eggplant, skipped the cake and coffee. Stayed within my calorie allowance!

I go to youtube and do "Walk Away the Pounds" when I can't get to my exercise class. It's an easy way to start and you can go at your own pace

I'm curious, does anyone get more than 1200 calories a day? I'm 5'2" and if I put in I want to lose a lb a week, I get 1200 calories. If I input .5 lbs I also get 1200! I have 50 lbs to lose so it's not like I'm close to my goal weight.

Kind of stopped being careful over the summer...not terribly but I did put on 2 lbs, after a 25 lbs loss! BUT I went on a cruise last week and I put on 5 more lbs! So it's time to buckle down! My goal is to stick to it and get back down ASAP

This got me thinking, I'm going to keep track now and see. Problem is I'll pick up beans in Walmart along with a garden hose. Or a can of asparagus at Dollar Tree when I'm getting a greeting card. Or a sweater and cereal at Target. It's hard to separate the food purchases out if it's not at a grocery store.
