  • I make a big mason jar full of coffee (French press) and keep it in the fridge and then just use it half and half with almond milk to make my protein shakes (usually chocolate so it tastes like an iced latte). Delicious and easy and i never burn my mouth
  • Any kind of meat & veggie combo in a chili and basil sauce is stellar and not too bad caloriewise. I usually Get chicken with basil, chili peppers and ginger. Get steamed rice instead of sticky, or just skip rice altogether and eat more veggies.
  • 1.5 cups fresh spinach, 1/4 or 1/2 an avocado either cubed or mashed, 1 super over easy egg all mixed toogether. Season with hot sauce or salt and pepper. My absolute favourite breakfast and it only takes minutes to make!

  • You just have to mix your protein powder with a bit of cold milk or water first until it forms a paste or liquid with no lumps and then add the coffee ☺ I LOVE chocolate protein powder with my coffee, guilt free mochas!!
  • I would love to try these!! what are they called exactly?
  • Omg i just had farro for the first time, YUM! my husband was like what is this stuff is really good (he NEVER says that about healthy foods lol it made my weekend)
  • this is gold lol i wish someone had told me this ages ago! My trick for low carb cooking is pick your favorite recipes and just out less grains/ skip the carbs OR double the meat and veggies so the carbs are "diluted" so that you have less per serving (also helps with meal preps cause then you end up with more food). I eat…
  • Oh i also often do chocolate protein powder with 1/2 cup almond milk and 1 cup room temperature black coffee and shake it with ice. Iced mocha!!
  • I usually only add almond milk but once in a while if I'm craving sweets ill put 1 or 2 tablespoons of cream cheese, 3/4 cup raspberries, 1 scoop vanilla protein and 2 cups almond milk. YUM!
  • http://damndelicious.net/2014/04/09/one-pan-mexican-quinoa/ SUCH a good and easy quinoa recipe (i substitute the cumin for Cajun spice because i don't like cumin). Yes it's carbs but when it's diluted with tons of veggies you're barely eating any quinoa. I make the above recipe but double the beans and peppers and then add…
  • ^^ what she said lol
  • Sit down, think about what you're really craving and put if into mfp as if you've already eaten it. I find often just seeing how terrible some of the foods I crave are, in numbers, helps me not crave them. If, after seeing it in there you still want it, do it lol. If possible do it yourself, make a homemade cheese burger…
  • I get what you mean about carb sensitive in the sense that when you allow yourself more carbs you don't lose weight as easily. Its not a disease or allergy for all those literal Larry's out there, it's just your body processing food slightly differently. Everyone's does, no matter how much everyone wants to deny it…
  • Really good info here from others, I just wanted to say 31 lbs in 7 months (with 2 months off the wagon so really only in 5 months) is really good!!
  • It sucks being busy but i pick my least busy day, pick two meals that i like a lot, do groceries then cook two massive amounts of the 2 dishes and seperate it into 7 Tupperware containers each and that's my lunch and supper every day. Often one of them is a homemade soup for lunches (i store those in Mason jars) this meal…
  • I can't stand salad so instead i do lots of veggies cooked with salsa (peppers, tomatoes, lots of black beans and white kidney beans, sometimes broccoli stems or green cabbage) and then add some cooked chicken to make it a meal lol i figure it's like a hot salad
  • This is a GREAT point! I've been really struggling with trying to get my potassium up too (check out recipes for spinach potato soup it's really good and if you leave the potato skins on one big bowl has like over 1000mg) but i never considered that it might just not be included in the nutritional info on certain things!!
  • Cucumber, pickles, sugar free jello
  • Chia seeds are my go to on days where I'm just hungry. Add them to whatever you're eating and it's so much more filling! Easiest things are yogurt and salads but i also add them weird places like in my eggs at breakfast or on my toast with peanut butter or in my stir fry etc (literally everywhere).
  • I have no idea what the final verdict is on egg cholesterol but since my family has bad cholesterol history i just buy the boxed egg whites and add them to 1 real egg so i only eat 1 yolk a day (which is where most or all of the cholesterol is) but probably 3 or 4 egg whites ☺
  • Just make sure it's unpasteurized if you're eating it for any health benefits. Wildflower often has a floral taste to it that i don't love, i usually like fruit ones (apple orchard or pumpkin patch) or just clover is a nice light flavor
  • Funny I was just thinking the same thing today! Every time I really amp up my healthy eating and get really strict with clean eating I notice that i digest healthy foods better and come to look forward to and enjoy them! When I start eating more junk food (pizza and deep fried anything are my weaknesses) I find eating…
  • If you're trying to lose weight then you should only eat your 1400 calories. The extras is the reason you're working out, to burn calories. You can eat those but that's more for maintaining your existing weight
  • Hi there! I've been using my fitness pal off and on for years now and i always end up stopping because I get bored, I've never had a friend in the app before always flown solo. I'm pretty active and on a mission to go from eating decent to eating clean and could definitely use an accountability friend
