1917 this PM. Impressive screen, I don't like pseudo-historical movie that are a total fabrication and it was longish. McKay should have been an Oscar best actor nominee.

AF since December 31st. Last week-end I didn't think that I would complete the month, but no so close to the end, motivation is high to have a cold turkey January. Impact on mental clarity & memory is obvious. Too bad I didn't see the same impact physically (weight).

I tried some jackets for cross-countrying and always end wet. Winter, of course. Any recommendation?

Make it every two weeks. I do a full cheating day every two weeks, still lose.
-
Maybe you are a Pegan without knowing.
-
One day by two weeks is not a problem... if you are doing it right on the other 13 days. Very convenient on social happenings.

Really?....From the link in the previous post. Yes the cholesterol & eggs can be bad. Question Is consuming dietary cholesterol or eggs associated with incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) and all-cause mortality? Findings Among 29 615 adults pooled from 6 prospective cohort studies in the United States with a median…

What I find amazing is that after all these decades, millions of persons and tens of thousands of formal studies, we don't know the finite answer... On my part I chose to stick to caloric restriction for life and I eat low meat/fat, low processed food, just egg whites (no yolk) and high vegetables & legumes. I value much a…

Wrap with caramelized onion hummus, firm tofu and mustard.

Beware of the spoon portion. I was surprised how a little one with 15g / 90 calories was.

I tolerate hunger up to 1.5h before a meal. Otherwise I take something like a 65cal square of dark chocolate or a large glass of water with liquid enhancer.

If I got you right, instead of deducting the 70calories in the example as BMR, it would be 70 x activity level factor. It makes sense.

What kind of #!@ reply is that. The only reference to a question was "Am I alone to think...."

Am I alone to think that MFP using the gross calories is mathematically incorrect? After all if you just sit in the next hour, you'll spend the calories of let's say average 70 calories or 1680 calories a day for your basal needs. If you go biking for an hour and it is known to be 600 calories gross, this would duplicate…

I think this graphic is wrong. This is a 350cal medium French fries, not a small 220cal portion. This would be near 900cal. Having said that, all of this makes me go to McDo for this lunch. Big Mac and Coke Zero only. Yummy and fulfilling. Tomorrow morning it will be a McMuffin and hashed potato.

One of the rare calculator that differentiates gross vs net calories. I assume that all calories expenditures published on MFP are net?

I saw it, two days ago I posted this link in the comments of this youtube video.

True, this site has an agenda and has been against low-carb/keto since the Atkins era. He will not publish much that won't fit it, but personally I enjoy 70% + of this youtube channel site and its content. It was a big influence to make me adopt a mostly a plant-based diet, although still a moderate carnivore (twice a…

I think I know what you are talking about. It is worse than you think as it is not an intruder that will go away, it is your own tissues being not under inflammation, but washed, under attack and DAMAGED.

I know the drill. Here is something I found out kind of scary and can help serve as inspiration. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/074183298590120X 'Alcoholics' might probably be replaced by highly-functional drinkers, of whatever definition that fits your agenda. Point is that excess subproducts of alcohol…

I also have a Whitings Body Scale wi-fi that I bought 5-6 years ago. Would do it again.

Interesting info & videos on broccoli https://nutritionfacts.org/topics/broccoli/ About frozen vs fresh, this dr also suggests that frozen loses sulforaphane bioavailability and this could be countered by adding mustard powder.

I use both Pure Proteins and Smarforlife bars.

When I go cycling, I use a wahoo chest belt to monitor my heart beat and their app posts automatically to myfitnesspal, I found that wahoo over-estimates my calories spent. For a man of my age/size, it posted 410cal for 26 min. When entering it directly, it was a more plausible 250. I have to adjust.

I tried three restaurants with beyond meat... A&W 6/10 Burger King 8/10 Tim Hortons 4/10 (Canada chain) Not convinced at all.

Dairies & eggs are probably the biggest difference between vegetarianism and vegans. I still consume some but it was greatly reduced. In my case this was to lower my total cholesterol as much as I can. No more milk at home, only almond milk for my smoothies and recipes. I buy only egg whites, again for recipes, and…

I eat pasta and rice always flooded in a sea of veggies. Typically 70g of pasta or 30g of basmati rice (man here). I'd be depressed to eat bare pasta like your pic (unless with a lot of 'invisible' butter :p ) .

Way too much marketing $ to cover. In Canada, they want $CA8 + tx for two patties. No, thanks.

The range shown on my lab test is 120-200.

By medical current standards, you are correct. Except that about 1/3 of heart strokes are in people with total cholesterol ranging 150-200. You almost never see heart strokes in people with total cholesterol below 150. This is where I want to be.
