In my case, my left knee has had ACL surgery twice. While it's ok... it has never gotten fully stable after the second surgery. I'm primarily looking for support for squats/deadlifts. I'm not a particularly heavy lifter at this point.

Curious as to why you recommend 5MM versus 7MM?

Nice progress! We are about the same size right now and I wish you luck on the next 10. This is usually where it starts slowing down for me, but hopefully within a couple more months!

C25k program worked great for me. I will use it whenever I have a long break from running to get my joint and muscles back in running form with minimal injury risk. Depending on where I'm at over all, I start anywhere from week1 to week 3 in the program and go from there.

Great progress! I'm on the same journey and hope my results will equal yours. Regarding programs, you might want to check out Ice Cream Fitness 5x5. It has the same base as Stonglifts 5x5, but adds some extras that it sounds like may work for you.

Great job and thanks for sharing! Your first post in this thread should be required reading. So well written with such a common sense approach anyone should be able to apply.

I'll second the recommendation for this book. Over 5 years smoke free now and it was easy. The book takes the dread out of quitting and makes the experience better than I could have expected.
