  • Welcome, Lori. I too am a bit anti social media. I just am not a fan of posting any thoughts or actions. This group is so very positive and supportive, that even if you don't want to put yourself out there that much, if you "lurk" as you read through everyone's comments, they will make you feel motivated, positive and many…
  • Thanks for the info, Janine. I'm in Arizona and I am definitely going to look into this one for those days I can't make it to the gym.
  • I here what you are saying. At 8 pm this evening coming home from a softball game, it is still over 100 degrees. YUK. I am doing 3 to 5 miles a day and have actually had to take it inside rather than get up at 4am...I do mine on the treadmill mostly but the malls here open early so you can walk your laps inside with the…
  • Welcome, Janine. I believe I may be the oldest one in this group and I'm here to tell you these ladies are very supportive. I find great inspiration from them. I, too, live in Arizona, Phoenix to be exact and I am currently doing a summer road race series with my 8 yr old granddaughter that has us jogging/walking 5-5K…
  • My exercise plan is pretty boring compared to most of you. I am doing a 5K Summer Series (5, 5K races over the summer in AZ) with my granddaughter (8 yrs old) which I walk more than I run. I am not a runner, but love to walk everywhere. We jog a little and walk a lot right now, so I am doing 3 to 5 miles each day. Being in…
  • You are such a great leader...you show us that whether we lose or gain, we are all human and can accept that life happens and we should move on. You will probably see a super huge lose next week after you lose alot of water weight. You have such an amazing job so far. Keep up the good work young lady.
  • Total miles to date 161...Granddaughter and I are trying to get some miles in early in the morning, but that means 5am wake ups for retired grammy and 8 yr old on summer vacation. Luckily I can get some walking in at the gym on the treadmill, but thats so boring. It's harder here when it is already in the 90's by 7am. But…
  • Hello everyone. You young ladies continue to be an inspiration and I can't wait to sweat through the summer with all of you. I am so glad to be part of this group. Name: Karen Age: 59 Height: 5'10" Current Weight: 210 Challenge Goal Weight: 185 Ultimate Goal Weight: 170 Goals: To learn to control my food intake with…
  • My eight yr old granddaughter and I just finished our first 5K race of the summer series we are doing. We beat our finish time goal by almost 5 mins. I have had a rough week physically so I am thoroughly surprised. It was great to know that at almost 60 yrs old and still 40 lbs overweight that I could do this, plus its…

  • How exciting for you @RamonaMoon. That has got to be a great feeling. You should be very proud of yourself and enjoy the wedding in your new dress, looking fabulous!!!!
  • Didn't log much this week...Total miles so far....145.1, with a 5K race tomorrow.
  • This week has been a tough one for me also, but mine has been from a medical standpoint. I am back and continuing with IF. My weigh in isn't till Monday, but fortunately there are no plans for the holiday weekend so I am back on track.
  • I have a fitbit knockoff, but no smartphone to connect to it while I'm working out. So the only way to update my info on MFP is to connect the drive to my hubby's computer (really not a good option for me), but I will gladly update info in whatever format is agreed upon. I also have the time to update info regarding weekly…

  • You are exactly correct, you need to work at your own pace. Don't try to keep up with the 20 somethings. I'm 59 so I know exactly what you are talking about. I get the same feeling when I'm doing my spin class. Work at your pace and just try to push yourself a little, but not too far that you injure yourself. Before long…

  • Oh, Jessica, I like the idea of sharing our favorite meal/snack, etc. I think all of us are always looking for some new ideas. Please don't leave us...I would miss you terribly.
  • Great idea, Jessica, to keep this group going past June. I am doing Trinity's LiveFit program with her, but would love to here about Barb's hump day workout. I am also doing a 5K race program with my 8 yr old granddaughter (5 - 5K races over the summer), so I would be interested in maybe some kind of challenge that logs…
  • You got this @diggydog2. The key is consistency. Stick with your class even when you don't feel like going or if you miss a class and you will be successful no matter what. We know you can do this. Have fun with it and you will see results. Good luck, lady. Enjoy your class.
  • L2D5 shredded.
  • Yesterday was a rest day....L2D4 shredded.
  • I'm still here with you @kayjosh2422 . Trying to get the hang of the IF system. Struggled a little last week, but it was lack of focus. Back on track this week. My weekly weigh in is 209.
  • As of today, 115 miles.
  • L2D3 shredded...it was a tough one today, but got through it.
  • Barb and Jessica, you ladies are too funny. I bet your hubbies are very proud of you.

  • @SmithsonianEmpress and @TheCupcakeCounter , I am with you ladies! Today's shred kicked my butt too. I am not a fan of planks (probably because I need them the most) so I think these 10 days are going to be tough for me, but we keep going, right!!! They can only get easier as we get stronger. L2D2 SHREDDED!!!!
  • L2D1 shredded....not sure what I think of level 2.
  • L1D10 shredded
  • Congrats!!!! Keep up the good work.
