  • I am 5'1 and eat around 1700 calories per day (often more than that, rarely less). I am rather active throughout the day so i get away with that easily. I have lost 27pounds so far and the difference is very noticeable :) average loss has been a little over 1 pound per week. I don't know if it is harder to lose being short…
  • I am generally eating around the same amount every day - so that is ok. And those adjustments have even left me with under 1000cal to eat throughout the day just because the system seems to assume that when I run, all the rest of my 20 000 steps turn into negative calories. Now with negative adjustments disabled it works…
  • Yes, i have noticed this, too, that anything added not by Google fit makes adjustment negative. Or any exercise other than steps really. But yesterday it all went through Google Fit and it was still unwilling to give me any extra calories. I have disabled negative adjustments and as i am set to the lowest calorie limit in…
  • I have now been set to sedentary and the adjustments are still completely off very often. Today i jogged 4km and have walked 30 000 steps but the adjustment has not given me any extra calories. Could be worse of course - earlier today it had even taken away calories from 1200. I guess I will disable negative adjustment as…
  • Thanks a lot  i sure will get back to it. My plan is to lose about 10 kg more though my mom says I shouldn't get too skinny - i have 1kg to go until upper limit of healthy weight. Of course, she has been overweight all her life and considers this a normal state of things... I hope to get to my "ideal" weight and…
  • Thanks for your reply! Well my activity level here was set to active as i am a janitor - activly on my feet 5-8 hours a day, usually about 10 000 steps. I thought it would take that into account and only give adjustment for anything beyond that. Today as I reached 20 000 steps I suddenly got my calories back again. Google…
  • I had both of my hips snapping 5 years back and rather painful, too. Stretching and exercises helped to reduce that a lot. Now it is barely noticeable and when i do notice, i stretch again
  • Oh  i had no idea there was a reply from ages ago. And i had no idea about their conversion. Hmmm i have kind of decided that it was only usable for actual exercise. I do like an accurate step count though not something the watch makes up. It is rather bulky yes. Difficult to get under any sleeve, completely…
  • I got -600 for 25,000 steps
  • Daily is 10000, which I easily do during work, but 30 000 is a huge exaggeration by Polar. I am definitely not moving my hands during cycling but it seems to count all the bumps on the road, as well as any gestures I make with my hand. Right now I have filled my goal 219% and received 700 extra calories for steps. But M430…
  • As excessive steps add to my TDEE on here, I do care about them. And I also just like to see actual step numbers/distance. It is rather annoying to get the message "you have reached your goal" at as early as 10am. Today I checked my steps with my trusty Omron pedometer: at around 1pm Omron had counted 11400 while Polar had…
