Thanks for the reply. What is a good amount of protein for a 163 lb female, 5'4. I have read mixed things online so it's confusing. I also workout 1 hour a day 5-6 days a week doing classes such as bodystep, bodycombat and strong Zumba.

I tried them. Couldn't stomach them they were so gross.

I don't think I can do 20 lbs but am aiming for 5 by September 1st. I will be so happy if I reach it!!
-
wow you don't even look like the same person! Great job.

My goal is to get to 160 by September 1st. I am currently 165. I have a bunch of clothes that I used to wear when I was 160 so will be glad to fit into them!

Where do I say I only believe protein comes from animals and gluten? I realize there are other sources of protein, but when going gluten free my protein intake dropped because I replaced some carbs that naturally had more protein (i.e. wheat bread) with carbs that don't (many gluten free substitutes don't have much…

I know for me TOM is a huge factor during which time I gain weight. I know this is only water weight and that I am still losing fat during this time because once it's over I lose in a bunch. Also when I started my exercise program I gained weight in the beginning due to water retention.

Is it just me or are you being intentionally rude in your post?

I was about to start a thread on this but I have the same question so will just put it here. I have seen online that for women they should consume anywhere between 46 and 100 grams, which is a big variation so I am confused. I am 5'4, 165 lbs. I do 6 exercise classes per week (mix of bodystep, bodycombat and strong Zumba).…

I am gluten free too and a celiac. One weird thing that happened is that my skin tone changed from as when I go to the make-up counter now they give me the neutral powders not the cool and also a darker shade. I also have a tonne of other issues that cleared up.

It's funny how we are all different. I don't have any cellulite at all and never have, but I do have a very big belly no matter what weight I am which I hate!!

You look amazing!! Congrats!!

My last recorded weight on MFP was 195 lbs in March of 2017. I did not attempt to diet from then until about 4 months ago and weighed in at 179 lbs. Somehow I lost 16 lbs without trying and am not complaining. Four months ago I started going to the gym and watching portions and am now down to 167, so another 12 lbs down…

My balance is much better. Couldn't do a hamstring stretch without dropping my leg but now I can.

I think a pound per week is great. I am 168 and losing 0.5 to 1 lb per week and am happy. I do les mills classes an hour a day 6 days a week but I don't count calories....I just try to make better choices and watch portions. I still eat burgers and hot dogs but only one burger not two and a small amount of fries not a…

The same thing was happening to me until I added some extra fat into my diet. Now I get hungry before meals but it is a manageable hunger.

I aim to go 7 days per week, but it usually ends up being 5-6 days. I love love love going to the gym, but that is because I found something that I really like. I do Les Mills classes and Strong Zumba. The harder I push, the better I feel and the feeling you get after a shower when coming from the gym is unbeatable. I have…

I have gone up and down myself and been there with the mental illness. I strongly recommend cardio for depression. It will be the best anti depressant you will take. Just keep at it and the weight will come off.

I love Les Mills classes. My favourite is BodyCombat, but I believe that I get a better workout from BodyStep so going to do BodyStep 4 days and Combat 2 (was doing it the other way around). I don't think you will ever catch me on a treadmill again. LOL.
