Thank you Niha, you are too kind.

Those pesky 170's will soon be behind you. Love your consistency.
-
Tracey has anyone told you that you are hilarious? :) Happy Birthday and great job on your challenge.
-
That's fantastic! Keep it going.
-
It is funny but it is true. That is why I will never say my way is the best or only way. We all have to find what works in our world, and we are all different. What worked for me may be a living hell for someone else, and vice versa.

I know, people come up to me now and say "wow I didn't know you had such long legs!"
-
Thank you! The longer fasts are not for everyone I'm sure, but surprisingly I found the hardest part of doing them wasn't dealing with the hunger. The daily fasting is something that was not hard to get into, especially the way I fell into it. I started this whole process with a two week fast, then when I broke that fast I…

Good suggestion. I will do that because I am curious what the nutritional breakdown of my current diet is. I'm still looking to improve where possible. Thank you,
-
lol, pretty much.
-
Absolutely right it's not a diet. Rather a fairly comfortable lifestyle choice.
-
You should be proud, the goal you set was a high one. Enjoy your birthday and dinner nights.
-
Good job Sammy, you just keep chugging along. Steady progress is the best kind.

16 weeks and still at the same exact weight, now that is maintaining. At some point I am going to try BMP.

This is my latest (and probably final) before/after photo. The after photo was from yesterday. Also I wanted to mention that I posted this photo and a little write-up on my journey in the Success Stories section in the main MFP area. Anyone who has read my OMAD thread already knows this stuff, just an FYI. I just felt at…

You're losing on average more than 1.5 kilos per week that is amazing.
-
Shaking things up always works for me. Nice going.

You have no idea how important these words are to me right now. As I come to the end of this phase of my journey I've begun to feel a bit like I've lost track of what is normal and even in some respects my identity. I've just been so absorbed in this that I guess it was bound to happen at some point. I'll get through it…

Boy that is good news, all things considered you have to be thankful for that news.

Oh I've already been doing this. Have I mentioned I'm now an avid clothes shopper? I do indulge almost every weekend, picking up new clothes, styles, colors. It feels great and it's like a reward or celebration. The funny thing is I've always hated shopping for clothes my entire life. Go figure.

thanks everyone, and @arguablysamson that means a lot coming from you. Still trying to make up my mind what and when to change any of my protocols. It's strange but mentally I'm still in a certain state of mind that is hard to shake. Its like I'm still not willing to give an inch, to indulge, have a splurge celebrate, add…

Yes I felt that way for years. I was too old to lose weight, been fat for too long, etc, etc. Every excuse you can think of. Then one year ago I started on a journey, and step by step I have followed a path that has results in a 176 pound loss, half my body weight. I'm a totally new person and my life has changed for the…

Wow! Very impressive what you've done. Now on your way to Spain having lost considerable weight. Enjoy your trip. Will you be staying on OMAD in Spain?
-
You have maintained well over the last nine months. It you set your mind to the 190 goal and commit to it there is no doubt that you'll get there. Time to do it!
-
Anyone who comes anywhere close to pulling off this challenge has really done something special. I would have needed a one week recovery after the first day.
-
It's good to take a step back and view the progress over a longer period. We tend to get caught up in the daily or weekly battles and sometimes forget just how far we've come. You've done so very well.

Nope it's the Omron 514C, see picture below. Was pleased that as far as weight goes it was within a half pound of the scale I had been using.

Brenda, It's called bioelectrical impedance, it sends an electric current through your hands and feet and makes a calculation based on the fact that different tissues conduct electricity at different rates. I chose it because it's automatic and does not rely on my measurements and it's relatively inexpensive. Whether or…

Thanks Bob. No doubt that I can do more now, it's like night and day. I bought a body composition device, essentially a fancy scale. Playing around with it now and will post some details tomorrow.

Completely agree, it is mostly habits ingrained in us over many years that triggers us to want to eat, much more than any kind of real hunger. Once we break those habits we can embrace the idea that we don't need to eat as often, and take control over our dietary intake.
