Thanks for the replies. I worry that if I have too big a deficit due to exercise, I will be burning muscle which I don’t want to do. For example I did my strength training yesterday which according to my Garmin watch I burnt 250 calories. And I did some cardio in the morning which according to Garmin I burnt 400 calories,…

Hi. I have similar stats to you and also have the same issue of being slim looking but high body fat. Currently trying to eat healthy and start doing gentle exercise. Then will be looking to start a lifting program. Add me and we can motivate each other.

Thanks. How do I calculate what my maintenance calories are?

Have you tried intermittent fasting? I've found this works for me. I'm also petite and currently weigh 110lbs and looking to lose about 10lbs. Currently I don't eat anything until 4pm (I have water or low calorie coffee drinks though) and then eat whatever I want till about 9pm. Previously when I've done this, I would have…

I have about 12lbs to lose.

You really should try it. I once read someone say they have this on toast. I find avocado on its Alan a bit too rich and struggle to finish a full one in one sitting. I found adding a banana added some sweetness and made the balance just right. And on top of toast or scones is delicious. You could always add some jam and…

You really should try it. I saw someone once mention it somewhere and thought I'd try it. I find avocado on its own is too rich for me. I found adding the banana added that bit of sweetness to it and made the balance just right. And on top of toast or scones is simply delicious. I can't remember the last thing I ate I…

You were bang on.

It's only been a week since I reached my goal weight. I will continue to stay on OMAD for at least another 2 weeks, but continue to eat without calorie restriction. After this I plan to alternate between OMAD and 2 meals a day; first meal to be about 5pm and second around 9pm. I will also start incorporating some light…

I can assure you it was simply divine!

I find that once I start eating, all I want to do is eat. So to avoid this, I set myself a target time of 9pm and I plan in advance what I will eat. do find that I get full quite easily so I allow myself to eat whatever I want until I go to bed. I don't have a set calorie limit, but I still add my calories up and I consume…

Thanks guys. Would anyone like to see a picture of my before/after?

No I'm not trying to lose anymore. I'm still doing the OMAD as that suits me and keeps on track. If I didn't, I'd eat over 3000 calories daily like I was doing before I started MFP. My aim is now to do some strength training to tone up. So I'll be increasing my protein intake as well. Apparently muscle weighs more than…

I've lost 12lbs in 6 weeks. I was 110lbs to begin with and got down to 98lbs in 6 weeks. (I'm 5'1") This was without calorie counting, eating what I wanted and no exercise.

My full post didn't get posted for some reason. It was a sunny, hot day yesterday (a rarity in Manchester, England), so at 11am I thought I'd have an ice cream. BIG MISTAKE! As soon as I finished that, all I could think was "what can I eat next?" And so it started. I had chocolate bars, cakes, full sugar coke, chocolate…

Late for me as well. I set a target time of 9pm, but by the time I get my dinner ready and I'm ready to eat it's nearly 10pm. I allow myself a 2-3 hour eating window, in which I eat and drink what I want and as much as I want. Yesterday I had a cornetto at 11am because it was a hot sunny day (a rarity in Manchester,…

Had an off day yesterday where I ate throughout the day. (I consumed over 3000 cals

I eat whatever I fancy and as much as I want. I have lost 12lbs in 6 weeks without exercise. Prior to this I was calorie counting and consuming between 800-1200 calories and also going to the gym and only lost about 4lbs in the same timeframe. So an example meal for me: Onion fried mushrooms with pitta bread, coriander and…

I'm on OMAD and eat as much as I want and lost 12lbs in 6 weeks to get to 98lbs. And with no exercise.

That's an old picture of me taken about 10 years ago. I was very slim back then. Since I've had kids I put on weight and have never managed to lose it again until now. My aim now is to just get toned. And who on earth would want to get all beefed up? I'm happy with just being slim but toned. x3nmorph- Not sure why you are…

I am now "skinny fat", so I still have fat around the thighs, waist and upper arms. I plan do some strength training to tone up and go out for brisk walks every other day. I will continue to do OMAD as this allows me to eat what I want and feel satisfied at the end of the meal. The best part is that I do not need to…

I highly recommend OMAD. It helped me lose the last 10lbs in 6 weeks with no exercise and no calorie counting. Just eat what you want in the evening about 9pm. It's hard the first 1-3 days, but gets loads easier and the weight just melts off you.

Hey. I'll be looking to start tomorrow. We can start together.

I'm 5ft 1. I was 110lbs beginning of June. I lost 12lbs in 6 weeks and got down to 98lbs. This was on OMAD for most days and no exercise. I was eating about 1200-1600 calories late in the evenings. I have now reached my target weight however I am now "skinny fat", so will be looking at body recomposition now.

Whilst at the gym on Monday, an advert came up for Lean Protein shakes and bars and it reminded me of this thread. What on earth is Lean Protein?

Completed Level 1 Day 9 today. I was initially doing 2 days with a rest day in between. But I've decided to do it every day now and have rest day on Sunday.
