I have fibromyalgia, I don't take any medication for it, and can only manage walking as exercise, at the moment. Anyone can friend me if they want.

Given those stats, I'd go with the low fat Ice-cream.
-
Soya beans, other beans, tofu, tempeh, pea protein shakes, nuts and peanut butter were protein sources I ate when I was vegan a few years back, it may not be enough protein for bodybuilding though, unless you eat a lot of it..
-
Oily fish such as fresh sardines or sprats, eggs, plain yogurt, beans etc are good sources of protein.

I'd like to lose 30lbs by the end of July, I'm in. Anyone feel free to add me to your friends list.

You could have lost fat-weight but gained muscle-weight, that could be why the scale hasn't changed even though you've been working out.

Thank you :)

Sashimi and edamame is a healthy and low calorie option, or chicken breast with a side-salad without dressing is also good.

You should try to include a source of protein and a non-starchy vegetable or a low-sugar fruit with each meal, these will help keep you full for longer and provide you with essential nutrients. Also this not cause your insulin levels to rise too much, so you won't get mega cravings for sugary treats. Also avoid…

Thanks :) I get a strong tingling (and sometimes itchy) feeling in my face whenever I eat or drink something with medium-high sugar content, not sure why, as I don't have diabetes or anything similar..

There are probably other places to eat, but I haven't seen them (we go on day trips here a few times a year), I posted this thread hoping someone local to Southend would know of somewhere and reply :)

Thanks, I'll try to get them without oil and butter, or I'll just buy a cucumber or a prepared salad from somewhere and skip eating cooked vegetables until I come home.
-
Thanks, I'll try to ask them if they could leave off the dressings.

I can afford to take a break from losing weight, as I have to lose weight as quickly as is safely possible. I haven't seen any non-franchise restaurants, other than the fish restaurant and their vegetable options aren't great..

Lattes, hot chocolate, mocha, pizza, ice cream, french fries, chips etc.

If you lose one and a half to two lbs a week that would be safely and realistically achievable.
-
Another variation of this is; substitute the cottage cheese for 125g of quark and don't bake it. It ends up as a tasty substitute for mash potato and is slightly quicker to prepare and cook.

Does walking count as exercise?

I make creamy mashed sprouts with my quark. 200g brussels sprouts 125g quark 10g miso paste 10g Thai red curry paste Cook the sprouts then mash them, mix the quark miso and curry paste then mix it with the sprouts. Quick, tasty, full of protein, low in calories and fat.

Thank you.

Most days for breakfast I eat 130g of oily fish, such as fresh sardines or sprats, with 100g french beans, it always keeps me full until lunch.

How is strength/resistance training done?

I asked about a referral to a dietician but was told this is no longer provided by NHS due to cuts.
