I love the smell of it, but I haven't used it for anything yet. I can imagine it's good on rough skin.

Honestly, eggs are the last thing I would have thought of! I got to try this, even though my initial reaction is this can't possibly taste good

I'm pretty sure it is 2 oz uncooked. The first time I use a particular pasta I usually cook the whole box, let them cool, then weigh. The total weight divided by total servings per package gives you the weight for a, in this case, 2 oz serving. I never cook just 2 oz, but then there's more than 1 person in our household.…

Hi, I'm fairly new here myself, but I think I can say that if you have chosen sedentary in your settings, the calories given by MFP do not include any exercises. My first week here I was trying to figure out how many calories to log for the exercises I do, but I don't have any gadget or app that would help with it and I…

Thanks for your reply! So as long as I have plenty of excess fat and do resistance weight training, I shouldn't have to worry about loss of muscle? All the stuff I've been reading here about muscle gain and fat loss being incompatible is only true once you get to a point where you have little fat left? Or for people who…

I grew up in the southwestern part of Germany, and "Spaetzle" (egg noodles) are a big thing there. Love them with gravy, love them baked!

I've been trying to eat more protein without eating more meat, and I find it rather difficult. All the legumes etc. mentioned above do have protein, but in order to get the same amount as from meat, fish or eggs, you have to eat a lot of them. What I started to do is fry half-cup servings of egg whites into thin…

My blood pressure is in the normal range, so I have no experience with medication etc. Is 150/86 actually high enough to require medication? They do change guidelines every so often, so I may just not be up to date on this.

I know a bunch of people who have used the HCG injections and later pills and stayed on that ridiculously low calories regimen, lost a lot of weight, and all of them gained it back, either most or all of it. During their weight loss phase I congratulated them, and I never said anything negative, even though I personally…

I'm almost 3 weeks into logging calories and eating at a deficit and, honestly, I'm surprised how little of a struggle it's been. Was expecting to be all frustrated and full of cravings by now, but so far so good. I don't believe I will reach my goal weight without any set-backs, and a lot of the people here have probably…

That's one of the reasons I don't weigh often, because of these fluctuations and I don't need that pressure of maybe have gained a pound over the previous day. I've been on a calorie deficit here now for a good 2 weeks and have only weighed once. I have lost more pounds than the 1 per week that my goal is set to, so I was…

Thanks, you made me a little bit smarter! The sodium part I was aware of, not the carbs, though.
-
I don't take any measurements other than my waist, and while I have lost pounds and noticed that my hips, butt and legs have slimmed down, my middle has shrunk only insignificantly. I figure if this goes on I'll look like a potato on sticks!

Wow, just changed those settings to show Vit A, C, iron and calcium and it does it even for the past. I am now shocked to see how vitamin deficient my diet has been. I've been on this only a good 2 weeks and have been mostly trying to get my protein up to at least reach the recommended number, since you seem to need that…
-
I didn't know that, thanks!
-
How do you track your vitamins, iron etc? In my diary it only shows the calories and carbs ... sugar. Do you have to have a paid membership to see the other numbers?
-
Wow, I just created a recipe the way you described, and it worked perfectly! This is the second time you helped me with a food-related question, thank you so much for taking the time to do that! It's been 2 weeks here and still a lot to learn. Have a great day!

I'm new to this and think I'll use it at least for a while. I don't seem to have that "inner button", or I wouldn't be where I'm at
-
Thanks, Paula! The 5 weeks thing could be a motivator if you had a good day and didn't go over your cals or stayed under. I just completed them all since I've been on here (not even 2 weeks), and every day had a different weight I could be in 5 weeks

Some more great suggestions here, thanks all!

That's probably like what I saw in a video, they didn't have to add liquid for it to become real smooth. I'll make another one tonight and add some liquid and some flavoring.
-
It won't replace the real thing, but I think it could be a good alternative if you don't want to allot too many calories of your limited allowance to sweets/deserts.

I love a good ice cream! And once I've tried the banana thing a couple of times, I might come to the conclusion that it's not worth it. But I'm not there yet
-
I just had never had it before, and after trying with banana only I meant to experiment with flavors, nut butters, cocoa powder etc.
-
Okay, I"ll try again tomorrow with milk or something. Thanks!
-
Unfortunately, I don't have one ...
-
I will undoubtedly do that, too! Just wanted to see for myself what the buzz about this was.
-
I am about your height, but heavier, and I also have my settings to lose 1 lb per week, and I was given 1400 something cals to loose. I put in sedentary lifestyle, maybe you put in active and that's why you're allotted more cals?

Mixed with diced onions, fresh herbs like chives, parsley etc. and spices it's a great spread for bread, or it can be eaten with boiled/baked potatoes.

Sorry to be so ignorant, but how do you pour milk from a bag?
