The co-workers test came back negative. :)

It takes time and dedication. :) Also, assuming you are in the northern hemisphere, it is summer and once the temperature passes 60 degrees F (15C) you pace suffers. It becomes harder to run at the same pace vs doing it at a cooler temperature. Dew point is another major factor. So much so that you really can not compare…

In case y'all were wondering, big meanie dad called off the get together until the test results come back. I expect they will be negative, and I expect it would have been fine. I am preaching on Sunday which means I can not self-isolate until Monday at the earliest if the test does come positive so that made a convenient…

Sadly my son is just like his father so I have to be ever viliagant.

Oh geeeeeeeeeeeze. Am I the only parent that remembers being a teen? My son's GF father was exposed to a coworker that is being tested for COVID. Well my son and his GF were going to get together today until this news broke. So her father is like "Well they can still get together and just wear masks the whole time and stay…

I had to work late yesterday and left my watch off most of the day... so now I am in 11th place! Ack! :D

I think the vast majority of the people in these kinds of challenges lead a more sedentary life (hence the need for the challenge). I suspect many people on this thread would dominate this step challange. :)

No, and I am not sure I want to LOL

Yay! Order fixed. Hopefully. :)

Well, thanks to my new status as top 10 step champion in my company, I now have a pair of Saucony Kinvara 11 Men Shoe Blackout coming... IN THE WRONG SIZE. OPs. Gonna call and see if I can get that fixed.

No idea that that is @rheddmobile - maybe the blob as a baby?

I broke my Wunjo. :disappointed: It is tots my fault but man it is too hot to run without it  Mrs. Pastor Vincent it going to look into seeing if it can be sown.

Yes, great news. Doctors and Nurses are great, but having family there can make a huge difference in recovery and treatmean.

HA! I might not win that, but I would likely enjoy trying :)

It is only like 500-something-K steps. The number one guy has 2.5 million steps in the last thirty days. Given the miles, I run and how far behind him I am, I ASSUME he works at a treadmill desk or something.

YAY!!! Well done!!!

Oh, they have track sleep too... but they want you to track SEVEN HOURS A NIGHT - Yeah, not gonna pull that one off.

So funny story... my employer has a program where they award people that do healthy things like get a flu shot, get regular health screenings and such. Well one of them is a "step challenge" and I was like, oh, I will just connect my Garmin and see what happens. Heh. Well, not only have I blow past the 2 million step…

YAY!! CONGRATS!

Yep! yay!

Sorry about this. :(

You know funny thing now that you mention it... I was, in fact, listening to an audio book

As temps in crease, your pace will decrease, that is why learning to run by effort is so important.

Dreadmills are very loud. :(
-
@mbaker566 HA! I have seen several runners learn that lesson :)

@Contrary_MaryM I think it means that one day you will be rich, but decide you do not want the money and give it all to me. @marisap2010 what is NSV? Congrats on the need for clothes! :)

SUNDAY UPDATE - Pastor Vincent vs Boston! For those new/or with short memories I recently hired a coach to help me run faster - with the original goal of a BQ in 2021 (thanks to all the mess around COVID-19 and etc, this will probably be delayed but still a future goal). It is probably an unrealistic goal, but I am not…

Yeah, it can be disappointing to get passed in the last 200m. But if he is smart it will motivate him to train harder. :)

@quilteryoyo AAAAWWWWWW CUTE PUPPY!

Well, it has been years since it came out and in that time... Did not get my long run yesterday. Spent 5 hours and $300 trying to fix a sink which is still leaking. Yay.
