Firstly, congratulations on your improved health! I've been going to Planet Fitness and have lost 70. I have a lot more to go,and am wondering if I should go to another gym and get the advice of a personal trainer. Or is it too early in my journey to worry about that ? Should I just focus on the weight loss for now? I've…

It's like a gym with training wheels. I would have never entered a "regular" gym at 330lbs. I did, however, join PF, and felt like I was among "my people" (grey and fat!). I still go 5x a week, and have lost 67lbs so far, so it's working. I may go to a "regular" gym as I get closer to goal weight to get more personalized…

-46 lbs in 12 weeks. Having difficulty seeing it in the mirror but I can see some change in the pix. Still a LONG way to go, but one day at a time.

You are doing terrific. Don't forget you made an entire HUMAN BEING! It may take a little more time to get where you want to be, but WOW...look what you did!

You can go ahead and taste it, just make sure to track it! Just kidding... CONGRATULATIONS that was a lot of hard work. You are almost there!

I'd take it as a compliment. It could be worse. I was showing my hubby a new dress that I could finally fit into and he responded "Well, that's different"...LOL We had a long discussion that "different" is not really a compliment. He maintains he meant to say "Well, that is a new (ie different) dress"...I believe him, but…

I started at 333 (Probably more but I refused to even look for several weeks). Today 293. I'd love to be added.

Thank you for sharing. I need to hear this. I was diagnosed in Feb 2017. I have been very good at cutting out added sugar, and limiting all sugar to less than 50g per day. I have lost nearly 40 lbs. Exercising 5 days a week, for 40 minutes cardio and weight lifting. I am to go back this month for another blood test A1c…

Diagnosed DT2, 7 weeks ago. (TERRIFIED) A1C was 6.7% Dr. just said to cut sugar to 50g or less per day. I decided it was time to choose to LIVE. Stopped all added sugar (Did have 2 cookies and one jelly bean over the past 7 weeks) -25lbs Exercize 45 minutes daily, average 5 days a week. I feel much better. Lots more…

My Dear (not) Mother-in-Law decided to call my adult children and try to stage an "intervention" for me because of my "health". She's never been nice to me, and she certainly doesn't care about my health, but it made me SO very angry, and then very sad, then depressed, then angry again, then motivated! Now the reality is,…

Hello. I'm Jean from WA. I started here a while back. Then I ended up with Plantars Facitis. Took a LONG time to heal...meanwhile, I continued to gain and gain. Then the Dr. gave me diabetes (I blame the Dr because I didn't have it before I went to see her! LOL JOKE) I've got a lot to loose. Probably close to 180.…

I can walk around Target without needing to lean on a cart. It's not much compared to your feats of strength and endurance, but it's a start! (And it's been a LONG time since I've been able to walk without pain)

Hello. I'm pretty new here. Well, I signed up several years back, but just got started in seriousness 2/22/17 with a diagnosis of Diabetes. I saw this 50+ group and thought "Here's my support". I don't have a lot of local support (of course, I haven't told many people about the diagnosis) Anyway, HELLO! from the wet…
