I'm feeling physically sore (as expected) but emotionally I am THRILLED even with the results so far. Can't wait until the swelling goes down and I can see the actual results.

Had the removal this am. Actually posting from my recovery bed. They took 10.7 lbs! They were surprised I’ve done this much without WLS... just less sugar and more movement! Can’t wait to see how it looks ( I did peek a bit)

Congrats! You probably already know this, but I want to share because I just learned it. It may take longer to go from 5.9 to...whatever your goal is, than it took to go from High A1c to 5.9. I keep to about 1500 calories a day. Limit sugar to 50 grams per day. The results from decreasing sugar were quick. I noticed less bloating right away. Some kind of exercise/movement (walking/biking/swimming) 5-6 days a week. I try and do some lifting 2-3 times a week. I'm going to consult with a personal trainer this week…

I got to take a walk with my sweet hubby yesterday. Before I knew it, We went 2.5 miles. No pain. No shortness of breath. Just a quiet walk with the one I love. Bliss!
