Diagnosed DT2, 7 weeks ago. (TERRIFIED)

A1C was 6.7% Dr. just said to cut sugar to 50g or less per day.

I decided it was time to choose to LIVE.
Stopped all added sugar (Did have 2 cookies and one jelly bean over the past 7 weeks)

    -25lbs

Exercize 45 minutes daily, average 5 days a week.

I feel much better. Lots more energy. Out of a fog.

Would love to be MFP friends.

Good morning. I am 45 T2 since 2000. Am on MFP daily and reply to all messages sent. I am also a member of "low carb group" a predominantly ketogenic WOL. Ultra low carb, moderate protein, high fat or LCHF for short. The group is a great support system for those wanting to totally and completely change their way of eating.

You guys should read @staffordshire62 's success story. He reversed his diabetes thru diet and exercise in his 50's. Best of luck to you guys.

46, type 2, and getting fit (but not really on account of the diabetes). Honestly, I don't even understand what having diabetes means, aside from "Here, take this pill every day" (metformin).
