  • Thanks... I find that in general it does help me. As in the case of today, where I was disappointed in the number... but instead of discouraging me, it made me want to work harder through the weekend... and weekends are usually a little sloppy! So, I'm ok with it. I just also wish I could get that "whoa!" moment from only…
  • Yay today is my last day on antibiotics! So I don't need to eat breakfast anymore! This frees up another 100 calories to put toward my dinner, and mentally, it will make me feel more accomplished with the fasting! I made the same mistake as before, this morning, by weighing in! I even moved the scale to a different room…
  • Hehe! Thanks! ;-) I still have two left!
  • Pasta and a creamy sauce I made with : cauliflower, carrot, onion, garlic, turmeric, vegetable broth, paprika, nutritional yeast, and black pepper. Mixed in are hotdog slices and green peas. Sprinkles on top are vegan Parmesan shreds. The salad is just romaine, with a homemade dressing of cashew butter, vinegar, lemon…
  • That looks so delicious! I bet it was really satisfying!
  • Had dinner out with a friend last night! I had a seaweed salad, and 3 maki : cucumber maki, shiso & plum maki, and oshinko (pickled radish) maki. And we finished it off with some fried banana! Delicious, and filling! Total calories : 843.
  • I am SweatyGirl on Pinterest! I probably don't have much you'd be into, but, friends are nice! :-)
  • Haha! Yes, I agree! the biggest change for me is not getting rid of stuff (Even though I AM) but not buying stuff. Just like you said. I eliminated so many monthly expenses for things I didn't need. And realized how much I truly had, and I don't need more clothes, or shoes, or STUFF. Its very liberating :-)
  • That'll be awesome! Those guys are great! Minimizing my house and life is a long process! But its been very fun and rewarding! The OMAD really fits right in!
  • Yay! I've added you! Thanks for sharing!
  • The brand is Loma Linda Worthington. They come in a can, which seems disgusting. But they are SO good! so well spiced and the texture isn't terrible like most vegan dogs!
  • Blah! I feel you! I have a sinus infection, too. And the antibiotics mess up my eating schedule! I really hope you feel better soon!
  • Good suggestion! My freezer is where things go to die, though. Once its frozen, I'll never remember (or want) to take it out. But clearly I should change my ways if I don't want this food to go to waste!
  • I've discovered the one tiny downside to the one meal a day! Its that things come in packages, with more in a package than one can eat in a meal. Which means, I have to eat the same thing for multiple days in a row to use it up! Which, is partially nice, because you don't have to think about whats for dinner. But also very…
  • I approve of this! YUM! :-)
  • Hi! Welcome! I'm new, too! I am vegan, so we can be dairy-free friends on here ;-) You're gonna do great!
  • I really love me some lettuce!
  • Dinner tonight! Man this really hit the spot!
  • That is the cutest waffle, its like a little display case for your sausage!
  • Thanks! I do hope so! of course anything would be good... but starting with that is very encouraging
  • Yay! Thank you! My goals are based on 3lbs a week. So, knocking out 6 at once, means I only need to lose 2lbs a week now!
  • Thank you SO much! And man, its EASY. I know my number won't be so high every week, but if I can lose anything eating this way... I'm pleased as punch!
  • Thanks! *high five* ! it feels good to get started right!
  • Thank you! I think so!
  • Wee! Following your footsteps seems to be a very good thing! :-)
  • Ok! Week one weigh in! Starting weight : 260lbs Week 1 (ending 4/3/17) : 254lbs Results? -6lbs! That's awesome! My first goal is to hit 246 by May 1. Which is aggressive, I know, because of course I won't be losing 6lbs every week. But, whatever, I'm going for it  So, 8lbs to go!
  • Forgot to take a picture of my delicious dinner. If you're a chicken nugget fan, I HIGHLY recommend Gardein Mandarin Chick'n. Just leave off the sauce and they are incredible, junky food tasting nuggets for only TWENTY calories each. The missing calories are from my breakfast, which I had to eat to take some medication.
  • I want to thank everyone for their replies! They have all been super helpful! Turns out, my boyfriend (who is attempting OMAD with me) was under the impression that weekends were always splurge days! HA! Poor sucker. Anyway, to assuage his disappointment I told him every 2 weeks we can have 1 splurge day. So, we'll try…
  • Yes! @1MADGIRL thank you so much for coordinating! It's so fun and motivating to see our goals "on paper" :-) I'm excited for April! Despite the disgusting snowstorm I'm in right now!
