  • I'm having the exact opposite issue. My steps aren't showing up on MFP, but everything is showing up on Fitbit. I've unlinked and relinked three times.
  • I understand. My father and stepmother are the same way. They come to visit about once a month and they KNOW my woe and what it entails. They came this past weekend and brought stuffed shells and garlic bread.... :s I have given up on trying to remind them or explain to them, so I chose to carb load that day. :-( However,…
  • I've been on LC/keto since February and am down 35 pounds. Even better than the weight loss, I feel a million times better than before. This woe helps with some medical issues as well as weight loss. It's been amazing for me! Feel free to add me if you want support or just some keto-family!

  • Thank you, all of you, truly and deeply. No, I haven't really taken many photos...before or recently. I do have a couple from prior to my weight loss that I can use as a "before", so I will do as most of you have recommended and take a few current photos and compare. I know that weight loss will not bring self-love...I…
  • Well, I guess it's a little comforting to know that at least I'm not the only one. Mine had been working great and then just stopped.
  • I agree with maybe seeking out a therapist. They may be able to help you with some coping mechanisms that work for you. Meditation is a great idea, if it works for you. I, personally, cannot meditate to save my life. I've tried for years in different ways and environments. I've learned that anger is often rooted in some…
  • I have a station on my Pandora that is titled "Staind" radio. Every song that comes on just pushes me harder and harder. Most of it is Alternative Rock, but no real whiny stuff.
  • Yes, absolutely. I have struggled with mental illness for over twenty years. I've been on meds and off meds and have learned an abundance of coping mechanisms. But, when I learned how to HELP my mental state by controlling my diet and eating in a way that was best for me, I started feeling amazing. Was a cured? Of course…
  • Thank you! You're absolutely right...the more I've lost, the easier it is to keep going! :)
  • The plateau made it seem to take forever. But, I've gone from about 205 to 189 in about 30 days...the first 10 pounds took a bit longer because I took a ten day break while I was on vacation. ;)
  • Thank you SO much, everyone!! <3 <3 It took about three weeks or so, unfortunately. I hit one hell of a plateau around 195 and got stuck there for over a week and the scale never moved at all. It sucked. But, once it started moving again, it kept moving!
  • I adore them and have followed them for awhile. They have some great info and recipes!
  • I will absolutely be there!! B)
  • The Kickstarter closed on 4/26. :'(
  • Wow. She was great. So much of what she said really hit home for me and sounded like a bit of history in my life. I have always said that I had a food addiction, but never narrowed it down to a carbohydrate addiction, specifically. Her mention of a Pavlovian response to food and carbs is really spot on. There are always…
  • My first cup is always BPC. Depending on how much time I have, it's either Kerrygold and MCT oil and half & half with my handheld little mixer, or I do the Rocket Fuel Latte (hemp hearts, cacao butter, MCT oil, collagen powder, half & half) in the blender. After that, it's just black. I never use any sweeteners anymore.
  • I've never heard of it, but now I want to go and buy some!
  • I'm unable to watch it now, but I can definitely attest to its truth. I was addicted to carbs for more years than I care to admit...and felt awful, physically and mentally. Now, I am finally in a healthy place and I feel so much better and so many things are going so much better for me, health-wise. I'll never return to…
  • I don't know why squats are hurting my knee. I was quite sure my form was ok, but maybe I've slipped somewhere. Unfortunately, something as small as going up a stair causes severe pain right now. It's something I've been dealing with for a couple of years and they swear nothing is wrong and just give me the shots. I just…
  • I would love to, but my knee can't handle lunges right now.
  • Thank you, everyone!! You've all been a huge help! I think that's really what I'm looking to do now that it's been put that way. I don't need to have a Kardashian butt. I still have enough to work with...maybe. But, it's not looking the way it needs to. Hopefully enhancing the shape of what I have left will do the trick!…
  • I think this is perfect. I'm sorry you're having to deal with thoughtless people. Congratulations on your success so far!!!
  • Thank you! It's been hard to not feel guilty or selfish, but as I lose more and more weight and feel better, I have found that our whole family has gotten happier. I guess it's true what they say: "When mom's happy, everyone's happy!"
  • It wouldn't bother me at all. When I mentioned to my girlfriend that I was on my way to Walmart the other day, she said she had some things she needed to get and asked if she could come along. As soon as I said "Sure, but I've got one if the boys with me.", or something along those lines, she quickly said nevermind! I…
  • I wore my "some day I'll fit into those again" jeans yesterday...and they fit comfortably...with no muffin top while standing at all. These were my mother's Calvin Klein's. Size 12. I know that's not small, but seeing as how I was stretching out size 18's six months ago, this is huge. I called my mom and cried. I'm not…
