Thank you! Sorry if my last message came off aggressive. My last weight loss group got disbanded so I was just looking forward to this one, and was getting a bit grumpy. I'm not actively mad at any volunteers or any one in particular. I know things happen <3

Hey so I'm pretty flustered. I couldn't figure out where to do the weigh in the first week. I asked here, and learned that its in this thread. I posted my weigh in for week 2, the spreadsheet never updated, and now I'm not even on it! So yeah. I am now grumpy, I've been doing awesome, and wanted to participate.

Wow! Hi everyone! Sorry for not weighing last week, I couldn't figure out where to go! This is my first time with this monthly challenge, looking forward to working with you all :). My weigh in day is Thursday, do I post my update here?

I have been actively logging my meals and trying to lose weight for about 9 months, and I have lost 8lbs. My weight loss goal is to get rid of the last pesky 25lbs (now 17 to go). I have lost weight successfully a few years ago, and kept it off. I am now at a years long plateau and want to finish what I started. I exercise…

Not sure, the metabolism test uses a breathing mouth piece. The body composition test uses a "SECA scale"

So I hear you, but I have also heard the "do this while you are young" my whole life. Literally, that was my first introduction to diet/obesity culture, which came from my parents. I have always been told to do this now because I am young. Fun fact: I currently weigh less than I did when I was a 12 year old....and I am not…

#PandemicStressIsReal. Gotta reevaluate constantly what the priorities are <3

Received and appreciated! <3

YES!!!! No "Go Big or Go Home", I am sometimes accused of this mentality and I definitely do not endorse it. Also I totally hate (the general) "you". I'm right there with you

<3 Can't stand "weight loss motivation", its a cruel world. Breaks are good <3 :)

I've been a yo-yo dieter, and then steadily gained...I've never not been overweight. The first time I really started losing weight was after I moved, got a new job, and overall a new life style. I never realized how depressed I was until I was completely removed my old situation. It does sound like a bigger problem (that…

I'm 5' 3", and am currently 164. In the past this has been a really good weight for me, but now I'm aiming for 140. I am athlete.

If you want to go on a more healthy diet with better eating patterns start with small and easy changes. You won't get fast results, or even results right away, but it will help in the long run. My partner and I ate a lot of junk/crap food together too. One of our big ones was frozen pizza twice a week. Instead of totally…

Sometimes eating more, results in losing more, especially for when you are hugely under your calorie goal. When you are consistently way under calories your body can go in starvation mode. Eat healthy, eat more, maybe change up your excercise routine to keep your body working and guessing.

We have almost the stats. I thought something was wrong with me too. I've lost 14 lbs in about 16 weeks. I am about 168 right now. Its discouraging/slow, but it really is better for you. Although its frustrating, I'd rather developing better habits, and lifestyle that will help me maintain the lower weight, instead of…

Thanks for the input! Sometimes I enjoy these shows, but they are pretty unrealistic. I use to feel really discouraged, watching all the people lose weight so fast! Now that I have started to keep a steady slow pace of weight loss, it's hit me how unhealthy unrealistic these shows are. I still enjoy them though.

I've tried MFP several times before, and it just never worked for various reasons. I found couldn't focus on getting myself healthy, until my life was in balance. Got a new job, a new schedule, and sleep well....it's so much easier to stay on track once life is in order. As far as friends and family support, I tried little…
