Desperately seeking motivation

Been a member of the MFP for a while, but like some people backslid into bad habits. I'm finally in a place where I feel good enough to exercise (had some medical issues that held me back) and am trying to get back into logging my meals and making healthier choices. I don't get a lot of genuine support from the family, so I figure I might find some here

Log your next meal. It's a start.
Keep going. Never quit. Good luck.

I'm a big proponent of writing down small, attainable fitness goals. It helps me stay focused on self-improvement.

I've tried MFP several times before, and it just never worked for various reasons. I found couldn't focus on getting myself healthy, until my life was in balance. Got a new job, a new schedule, and sleep well....it's so much easier to stay on track once life is in order. As far as friends and family support, I tried little things. For instance, we love making frozen pizza for dinner in the middle of the week...welp apparently the brand we buy had terrible nutrition. Instead of ruining the tradition, we just switched to a different brand. Still not the healthiest but better. Make small, moderate changes. Compromise. It will be easier to stick to in the long run, and it will be easier for your friends and family to support you too. :)

Decide you're worth the effort! Do it for you! Make a conscience effort to be honest when logging.

One meal at a time...you'll be there before you know it!

Motivation comes and goes. It's dedication that sees us through. Just keep working your plan, even when you don't feel like it, and you will see improvements in yourself.
