  • I don't get the low carb keto high fat high carb super food stuff. its like if you fry quinoa in olive oil then suddenly fried food becomes healthy. just eat a balanced diet a little bit of everything n you will be fine. I also don't like that sugar is marked evil its really the amount that counts. life is too short to…
  • I have most cuts in several colours. once I found a fitting one I buy one in each color
  • the last I read was that parents were collecting over 1 mil to pay for the treatment n the doc wanted charge. in any case its a situation that I no one wants to be in or have a family member in that situation. all of the media attention is not really helping the situation either.
  • the doctors said the condition can't be reversed. the experimental treatment may or may not extend the life but it will not heal the boy. from my point I can understand the parents that want to spend more time with their child. I can understand the doctors too that we should not treat. at one point a longer life at a lower…
  • hmm. just adding on that my insurance agent kid did not manage to qualify to get'insurance because of being obese. the insurance company is not even asking to pay a higher premium but totally rejected. at the time the kid was rejected he was actually fit n was serving in the military'yet the insurance company rejected due…
  • my friend got diagnosed relatively quicklyrefereed by her gp to an allergy and gastro specialist. I think if you know you have a problem maybe seeking a specialist on your own or a different gp can'help. a gp can not know everything. my mom hashimoto was only diagnosed by a new gp after she moved. her old one wanted to…
  • I think this as a problem. I know a lot of people that treat gluten as the new fat so I can't take a lot of the food allergies seriously especially if a person has not been diagnosed by a doctor. one of my good friends has celiac so I know its tough if you are really having the disease and I am not talking about people…
  • most people in my family are vegetarian and do not eat egg yet they'still have all high blood'pressure cholesterol etc. so I would be careful to believe those claims that vegetarian or vegan will not have any such health issues.
  • I think the trick is to order healthy do without people noticing. for example Italian restaurant instead of a heavy food eat the lower calories one like pasta with tomato sauce'instead with cream sauce. as you eat meat you can get the grilled fish squid etc. a lot of restaurants also offer side that you can choose so you…
  • I think some'people are just getting too excited about it. for me it is hard to talk to'people radical about anything. let it be food religion or other stuff. I am in a mixed'religious marriage and I have friends telling me that if one of us does not covert the kids(if we'have any) will be confused and mocked at school. I…
  • [quote="missillianna;c-39892243" I've just started added protein shakes also... When I do protein shakes, egg whites and seitan I can hit my protein but that's not a recipe to follow daily without getting burnt out on it. Other than eggs what do you guys do for breakfast protein? Dinner ideas with low carbs and high…
  • I think you can try and supplement with protein powder. for example when making pancakes you can add on some protein powder or use high protein flour. you can add it to breakfast shakes too.
  • congrats. I think you should check with your doctor. for now eating at maintenance should be fine but in some cases the doc may ask you to continue to loose weight but that depends on your starting weight or pre existing conditions
  • this is what I struggle with too. I think its fine if you want to be vegetarian or vegan but I really doubt the health benefits. we have a lot of vegetarians in the family and they are born vegetarians and do not eat egg. most of them have the same issues like diabetes high blood pressure and cholesterol. just looking at…
  • I think the key to success is planning ahead. I go out with friends too and enjoy my food. I would recommend you check the menu online for food that can fit your goal for example grilled fish or chicken. typically every cuisine has some healthier options. if you want to have a drink calculate for the calories. if I eat too…
  • my mom was scared that I get hurt. I started tkd after we went to a martial art or sport fair in which clubs in the area do short performance. as judo and karate did sparring but tkd did only'patterns so that is then what I was allowed to sign up for when I was 5 or 6 years old because the other two looked to aggressive…
  • yes that true. I can fit xl in China while in Thailand I cant fit into xl :s would need an xxl European or us is usually as s or xs.
  • I am 5.37 and at 111 pound but I am'quiet a small frame
  • if you are not vegetarian then chicken or turkey is low'in carb. if you are vegetarian I would work on not eating much carb. for example I just make a bean stew with corn and vegetables but I don't add on extra rice. I think for veg a lot of stuff high in protein comes with either high carb or high fat

  • I don't have to loose but going through ivf in July not sure if its o.k. to join the discussion
  • that's nice. good to see both are enjoying the same sport. my mom has never tried martial arts would have been fun to do that together.
  • I think I would be o.k. to train while pregnant but lets see how it goes n if I get green light from the doc. I would be confident to train if all is ok. previously in taekwondo and kickboxing there were several moms and pregnant ladies training. obviously under lower intensity.
  • looks like you are enjoying yourself. are you planning to go for more competitions?
  • I used to do taekwondo for many years, after a move n no club close by so started kickboxing. after another move and no club close by I am now doing Thai boxing (with is similar to kickboxing just adding elbows and knees). we are going through fertility treatment right now so training and sparring at a minimum now
  • you can try and plan your meals. just have oat and milk in the office as a healthy backup if running late or some healthy muesli or'protein bars. when going out check on healthy options for example salad or pasta with a tomato sauce or grilled fish n meat with veggies or salad.
  • I think you should see a doctor first. wait my the diagnosis and then do the exercise. as we do not know what is wrong the recommended stuff might actually not be good for you. for example in my Pilates class are 2 people with back problems but different ones and the trainer has to adjust their exercises or they do…
  • for me just eating a balanced diet works. just my deficit needs to be bigger like eating only half of my sport calories plus deficit. maintenance I cant eat all calories without gaining so I have to eat a bit less as my metabolism seems a bit slow.

  • I think the key is planning ahead and looking at the right portion sizes. you could even prepack some snacks. for example I usually carry a 100 calories snack (nuts or dry food) and a 200 one which is usually a muesli bar (high protein from carman?). its ok and not too expensive especially in comparison to the other bars.…
  • that is quiet a realistic article and describes fairly well how I feel. the last few kg to get the lean look is not worth the effort for me right now o:)

  • for talking classes I prefer reformer but there would usually some typical mat exercise included in that session too. at home I just do mat excesses but I have some equipment at home such as the rings stability cushion and a halo tool. I have some injuries that'require regular training or built up muscle so I can just do…
