  • I can up as much as 5 pounds. It’s all water weight because i can feel the bloat, it’s not comfy but it does go away every time
  • First of all congrats! I just had my first baby in April so i remember those conversations in the early appointments. I was told to do the best i can with the calories but don’t stress too much. Baby will get the nutrients he/she needs from you. In extreme cases you would be the one not getting enough nutrients. Feel free…
  • I second the suggestion for overnight oats! I love to do oatmeal, almond milk, Greek yogurt (usually the 80 calorie one but you can use whatever you want/like), and then some berry on top (95% of the time it’s blueberries for me). I make 5 containers on Sunday and by Friday it’s still delicious! I do like to make mine in a…
  • Idk how you’ll feel about this suggestion but maybe get a pregnancy pillow for bed? They tend to be more supportive than body pillows but help restrict you to sleeping one side-not sure this would help but it’s the only idea I had for your sleeping predicament
  • Can you save some calories for a little treat after dinner so you don’t have to fight it? My other suggestion is to brush your teeth after dinner and go as far away from the kitchen as possible once it’s cleaned up after dinner. I like to think of it as a store that’s closed after dinner.
  • Cucumbers! 100 grams of cucumber is a low calorie but high volume snack so I feel like I’ve eaten a good size snack without having a calorie bomb at the end of the night
  • One tip I have is to log your food the night before whenever possible. I find it much easier to stay on track during a busy workweek if I’ve already planned and tracked my meals/snacks for the day. It doesn’t mean I can’t change my plan and eat something else- but it really helps with a hectic schedule
  • I’ll join you! I have about 10 total I need to lose from back to back vacations
  • I eat a banana almost daily. It helps that I like them but I find that they help prevent my leg cramps
  • 3.5 minute plank on my toes with a spot for posture/form
  • If you go to exercise choose cardio. Body pump is listed as “les mills” body pump” you can type it in the search bar to find it easier
  • Sounds like you’ll have a woosh soon. While they are frustrating at first (especially if you’ve never experienced one) it is nice to finally see the big loss on the scale. Be patient (i know easier said than done) the scale will go back down.
  • I think you’re last comment nailed it on the head. Meal prepping doesn’t have to mean the same lunch or dinner every day. There are weeks when I’ll eat the same thing for a few days for lunch. But i find I don’t mind 2-3 days of the same lunch when it’s a new recipe and I stick to the serving sizes. However, this is not…
  • I really like the advocare shakes too. The convenience and fact that i could make it with a shaker bottle and didn’t feel like i needed to blend it to get a good texture was a huge bonus! I’m currently switching it up and doing a protein bar for breakfast. But I’ll definitely go back to those shakes. I love traditional…
  • I’ve had a similar experience and I was definitely dehydrated. I knew it too so I stopped, had some water and was fine. You may not have the same issue though...
  • I was in a very similar situation this time last year. I got married September 9th and had about 35 pounds I wanted to lose. It was hard work but I did it with MFP and exercise. My seamstress had to take 5 inches in on my waste and told me I could lose anymore bc the dress would look distorted if she had to take it in…
  • When I first started running I was also over weight and I personally was super self conscious. I decided to run in my neighborhood at night. The neighborhood is well lit so it was safe, but because it was dark out I felt less self conscious. It was also an added bonus for me that it’s usually cooler at night
  • I had the same issue until I went to the MFP website and disconnected and then synced it again. Hope this helps!
  • Congrats! Feel free to add me. I'm always looking for new friends here
  • I'm also working on maintenance. I gained back some weight on my honeymoon and right now I'm working on losing that again. We can keep each other accountable!
  • Body pump! It really pushes me and I get such an endorphin high at the end
  • I track my meals as I'm cleaning up dinner and the kitchen for the night. So if I decide I want a glass of wine the next day I just make sure it fits within my calories. I give myself a "treat" almost every night of about 200 calories so a glass of wine easily fits in to my day.

  • I know how you feel. I loved how I looked in my wedding dress when I bought it. But I also knew I wasn't where I wanted to be weight wise. I'm getting married in 12 days and I just picked up my dress from the seamstress 2 days ago. I lost a total of about 34 pounds so my dress needed LOTS of alterations. It looks beautiful…
  • I'm teaching 4th grade math, would love more teacher friends! Add me
  • I gain anywhere from 3-6 pounds the week before mine. I tend to lose it within the first few days
  • I think a good way to ease back into it is to make healthier choices if you are just one of those people that likes to snack. I am a snacker. I picke low calorie foods and portion it out so that it fits my day. I also tend to eat smaller meals bc I like to snack and eat more frequently. I don't think it necessarily helps…
  • It could definitely be water weight related to your TOM. It could also be water retention from strength training. I know the feeling of wanting to stay an exact weight (getting married in 3 weeks so I have dress fitting anxiety) BUT I also know our bodies don't do that so I've given myself a 5 pound range I try to stay…
  • Figure out the calories and what exercise/how long you have to do it to burn off those calories. Go do the exercise first, then enjoy the treat!
  • I've lost 65 pounds but now I'm on the scary journey of learning to maintain. I'm going to be here awhile because I know if I don't log I'll gain. Let's keep each other motivated!
