I eat all the foods...just in moderation.

I do, I do. My favorite thing is a kale salad from Aldi, I could eat it Every. Day.

Challenge accepted.

Every time I wonder why I'm still single, I read something like this and remember, because I would never ever put up with this *kitten*. Sorry for you girl, but you need to get out of this situation for your own self-preservation.

Just get back on track, don't let any weight gain derail your progress. I ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's, burrito from Chipotle and giant cookie with nutella over the weekend. Had been looking forward to it during most of my training cycle. Don't feel bad about it, don't feel guilty...that ish was good.

I hate broccoli stems, thankfully my dog loves them.

Try this ->scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ It allows you to put in your activity level and goal (lose fat/gain muscle). It may give you a good idea of where to set your calorie/macro goals

Cuz I always place 1st in my division, never mind the fact that I'm usually the only 1. ;)

ummmm, think it's pretty self-explanatory.

Not sure how she got herself tangled in my headphones, but if she was actually listening to music, I would have really been impressed.

Popcorn (love Skinny Pop) and gummy bears.

Like others have said, protein shakes should be used as a supplement if you are unable to get enough protein through a normal diet. If you decide to add shakes to your diet, make sure you read the labels, some have a lot of sugar.

How long is your work out? Two hours, five days a week, on average. Has this been upped or lowered since you started/your goal changed? It has increased considerably since I started competing in powerlifting. Does it vary depending on the day or your mood? No. My workouts are programmed. Do or die! ;)

I only weigh myself when I have to. When I sign up for a powerlifting meet, weigh myself to know which weight class to sign up for, get weighed in the day before the meet and visits to the doctor. Other than that I never step on a scale.

1. If you feel pressured to buy an expensive ring, then that person isn't right for you and you shouldn't marry her. 2. I'd rather spend that money on something else, like the wedding or honeymoon. The big thing now is couples spending thousands on a stupid ring then begging their wedding guests for money to pay for their…

Don't know, but came across some DIY videos on YouTube. Too lazy to try.

I get what you're saying. I was telling someone that I was looking into changing up my diet to boost my immune system, after a recent diagnosis. Their response was they didn't understand why I wanted to lose weight. Diet has become such a dirty word.

I've started mixing regular green tea with ginger and Zen. That is soooo goooood.

A lot of people think lifting weights equals body building. Whenever I tell people I lift, they will (very obvious) look me up and down expecting me to look like a female Arnold Schwarzenegger, then I have to explain that I'm a powerlifter and then explain what the difference is.

You may not be recovering adequately. I lift 5 days/week (Sun-Tue, Thu & Fri) with 2 rest days, I make sure I do a proper warm-up and stretching afterwards, drinking plenty of water. I've heard that magnesium is good for recovery. BTW I'm a 52 y/o female powerlifter, so my lifts are not light.

Nightmare on Elm Street. I remember people telling how I just had to see it, it was soooooo scary. So finally one night, home alone, I watched it on cable...and laughed my *kitten* off. Never watched any of the sequels.

It could be an anomaly, there could be something wrong with your scale, it could be a lot of things, but I wouldn't worry about it unless it continues to go up. In that case, re-evaluate your diet, you might be eating more than you think.

Yes, these are issues at my gym as well, though I'm probably the one singing and dancing in-between sets, but to be fair, its usually when I have the area to myself. I recently upgraded to some high-end headphones, drowns out almost all outside noise, except for the idiot guy who puts 400lbs on the leg press and slams it…

I'm a devout atheist, but I was listening to a podcast yesterday and the host stated that instead of giving up something, he would try to be nicer. I kind of like the idea to use this time to be better.
