Eyes that convey their character, a smile that can make me smile, and self awareness because then you know they can learn from mistakes and grow with you in life. If she can make me laugh that's a bonus.

Like others above, I pretty well eat the same things. The biggest difference for me is portion size. I find since I started using MFP I've been more conscious of how much I'm putting on my plate.

The title of your thread is telling. You've done this before. You're a step ahead of someone who's going thru it for the first time because you have that past experience to look back on. Don't let it be a negative thing that you fell back to the same routines and now you're back at square one so to speak. Instead use it as…

Great mind sets guys. My excuse WAS my breakup. I walked away from a nearly six year relationship with a girl I loved and cared for very much. Long story short, selfishness reared it's ugly head and I couldn't be a doormat for her hopes/dreams/aspirations anymore. I used heartbreak as an excuse to neglect myself, not…

Head to Calgary, Alberta during the summer dude. Just wow. I lived in Calgary for a while, I'm currently in the Northwest Territories.

No that's not at all what I'm saying. I wasn't implying that training them will help the process of losing fat, just that it helps with the overall aesthetic once you do. How long it takes to lose fat in a specific area is besides the point. If you don't train it, you may not get the look you're going for. OP stated she…

@CharlieBeansmomTracey You're right, but that's not what I meant. My bad on the wording. Should've broken down my original comments into separate sentences. I was saying if those are target areas that a caloric deficit will help tone, add weight training for muscles which = aesthetic.

Buy a bike! Doesn't have to be fancy. I had/have trouble with my knees from time to time and cycling, (even just leisurely) is such low impact that you can get the exercise you need without pain (hopefully). Also, @cmriverside is 100% right. The only thing I can add is if you're wanting to target those areas, a caloric…

No problem @gemabbi ! Feel free to give me a shout if you need some more explanation.

You could separate muscles by movement. I used to do a "Push/Pull/Leg" split when I didn't have much time to dedicate to the gym. I would often times substitute a team sport (like pick up basketball), or other form or cardio every other leg day as well. It worked really well for me. The beauty of it for me was it was…

2,290 cal a day is pretty good already. Looking at your diary, you seem to be doing a good job of hitting that goal too and nothing sticks out as a possible hindrance on gaining mass. I see you've even gone as far as eating more protein than 'required' for the day. Maybe try eating the bulk of your carbs after your…

I know this question was for ladies only but if you're willing to take a look, Eastbay.com is a great place to order stuff online. They have most major sporting brands and even their own brand name stuff which is inexpensive but of very great quality. The tank and the leggings in my profile picture is Eastbay brand and I…

Watching a flowing river... No punchline, it was just nice.

In the case with the plans on bodybuilding.com, whenever you encounter an exercise or movement that's too difficult (or painful) there's actually a list of substitutions you can do instead. I made use of that many times because to this day I have trouble with pull ups, etc. Its a great way to ease yourself into…

Good thing you caught yourself now Caitlynn! I went thru the exact same thing. I stopped being active after high school and didn't change my eating habits. Next thing you know... For me it took 5 years to go, oh no, this isn't good. You're way ahead of me in that regard so great job! Keep crushing it!

Hahaha how did this go from, "would like to meet people in the same boat" to *kitten* it, let's just send her some gifs, that will cheer her up?

Thailand. On $1100 USD that can actually get you more than 12 days if you're being frugal. I'm actually doing this trip soon, solo, and for more than 1100 USD. Why? Because I've earned the chance to experience something new and SEA happens to be a great place to stretch your dollar.

Well as an expert of absolutely nothing baby related I welcome thee. If schedule wise you can get back to being that gym rat that caught the eye of someone (just go with it) to want to have babies with you, then at least you have some previous experience to fall back to and it wont be as hard as say, getting started in the…
