I read online cold to reduce initial swelling then heat to get blood circulating again after a couple of days. But also that inflammation is the bodies response to pain so I guess unless I can get the pain levels down and get any period of relief I'm not going to see much change in the inflammation anyway?

I've had full blown Anaphylaxis from medication with Ibuprofen in (rushed to hospital for Adrenaline as throat was swelling up) in the past and also had a reaction to a muscle cream a friend gave me even though it didn't list Ibuprofen in the ingredients on the tube I found a pdf file on it online which says it does…

alot of advice online says to take NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen, most of which I'm allergic to unfortunately so looks like it's gonna be a long slow process. wondering if Turmeric capsules will work as Turmeric is meant to be a natural anti inflammatory and I know I'm not allergic to it. just depends what other ingredients…

how long would it usually take for a pulled muscle in groin to heal after rest and painkillers?

I can barely walk to get to loo from the bed let alone exercise, it's agony to weight bear but no pain when laid down. It's kind of under tummy just in crease where top of leg joins body. I'm on max dose of painkillers per day but can't take anything with Ibuprofen in. was going to just use one of those muscle rub creams…

No idea how long a referral for physio would take! probably a few months I'd hope it would be healed and not be in pain by then!

Rang but soonest they can fit me in is next week. Rather not be in pain the entire time till then! Just trying to work out whether ice or heat would be the most effective in the meantime.

I've ordered some new food scales off ebay as I don't have any. Got some boxes of 99 cal porridges too then I know exactly how many calories I'm having. Planning on having 2 of those as their less calories than the shakes and smoothies and one cooked meal in a slow cooker. Found a recipe book on there for light slow cooker…
