  • It was just this past February, that my wife of almost 19 years said that she wants to separate/divorce. We'd grown apart in the last few years. The only things we'd talk about were our kids and all the activities and schedules they had. She needs more. Deeper conversations, sharing emotionally, and being each other's best…
  • Great success story! It's all about finding the right, personal lifestyle that you can be consistent with. I've lost 30 lbs over the last 3 months. Counting calories (but eating any type of food) and walking everyday (~15K steps/day) works for me.
  • I've kept walking over 10K steps for the last 40 days straight. My separation from my wife really caused me to stop putting off positive changes in my life, in my relationships, and my work. I only wish that it didn't take a "wake up call" for me to change. That's all I hope for everyone else reading this and on MFP.
  • You're right. I'm a lemming. After reading the main thread on this, I should look for a balanced view. (I did use search prior to posting and didn't see it.) I probably would ease off a little on chicken and pork, and try a little more good quality steaks.
  • Thanks. There's good advice and support on MFP. I'm actually trying to maintain at 141lbs. I'm 5'7", so I think low 140's is good. I have better abs now, then when I was in my 20's. I agree, @GaleHawkins, walking works for me. I'm not into the HIIT and weight craze.
  • Thanks! Keep steppin'!!
  • You're right, I was being too liberal with the term "splash of olive oil". I do keep it to less than half a teaspoon of oil. I want to try the olive oil misting spray that I've seen. You really need a very small amount of oil in salads to release flavours from some vegetables.
