https://www.facebook.com/SlackerAndSteveFans/posts/10159474378270394 I just landed on that FB post. It says that a survey done showed 1 in 5 people who were obese thought they were only overweight and 1 in 10 thought they were normal weight. What I really found striking though was the comments from people. Quite a few had…

Ok thank you! I think I will do dry

IMO part of keeping it off is learning how to eat in moderation, including all the “yummy” foods and learning that a treat is a treat, not a daily thing. Heavy restrictions don’t do that and it’s more likely once you return to the foods you love you won’t moderate.

Hard boiled eggs tend to be my favorite. But I will also make roll ups with some turkey, some lettuce and maybe a slice of good cheese. Now my mouth is watering

I lived in Albuquerque as a teen, my dad was Air Force and I think our areas are very similar. I have access to tons of outdoor activities, great weather (we also ski/snowboard and snowshoe), tons of hiking, lots of parks, etc. And don't get me wrong, we have plenty of obesity but my area is mostly people who work to stay…

This. I cannot agree more with this. When I hear, 'The average US woman is a size 16' it makes me cringe. That should be an issue, of course this is a very unpopular opinion for me to share. Same with, 'real women have curves' or 'men like meat on the bones' although for slightly different reasons.

I was going to say the same. Where I live (Colorado, south of Denver) the SAHMs in my neck of the woods are fit and look fantastic.

It doesn’t affect our health care but my office is say most are not overweight. Maybe 70/30 split, not sure if it matters but we have a lot of international folks (I’m in the US) but my last office was about 90 overweight, 10 not.

Looking forward to it! Thanks for opening and keeping up on this group

This was an amazing salad! https://cookieandkate.com/2017/mexican-green-salad-recipe/ Only thing I did differently was add half an avocado to the dressing and not the tahini.

From what I saw the annual cost would remain the same -- I believe it is around $75-$85. I also think with the cuts they got from this administration I am not sure what people thought would happen. I do hope they keep the program that gives all 4th graders a free pass for a year to the National Parks.

The best advice I got is, “you’re either going to make this important and do it or you’re going to make excuses why you can’t” And it’s true

Hi I’m cecilia and I’m working on losing 18 pounds for good. This is my first time doing a challenge and I’m really looking forward to it. Edit: I’m a momma to 3- 18, 9, 7. And have been struggling with weight since I had my 9 year old. Gained 70-80 pounds with him due to a poor diet and have kept most of but want to lose…

I prep 80% at home but we have an awesome salad bar at work and I will bring my own dressing and sometimes protein but get greens, extra veggies and sometimes a protein from the salad bar downstairs.

You’re very right. In the purse it goes!

I have a pair of jeans that are my goal. I fit into them 2 years ago & they looked amazing. I’ll wear them again. Good luck!

I’ve been through this. We kept more easy access veggies in the house - cut and ready to munch on. I also recommend having her help. Talk about how food is fuel and can really help you feel better by having your body feel better. And then start being more active as a family. Play kickball, walk to the park, go sledding,…

Looovve hiking! It’s one of my favorite things to do on a weekend. Something about being out in the fresh air is good for my soul. Part of why I want to get into better shape is so my hikes improve. I’m in Colorado, so I never have to look far for a trail

Appears mine tends to agree with assessment :) Which is a good thing IMO. That is also normally has some exercise calories taken out cause I track my exercises as well -- so on the day mentioned above I also had a workout of 350 calories so my end was only a 30 calorie adjustment. I had just never looked at it.
-
I went to look cause a few days ago I verified I had a little over 8000 steps and a 30 calorie adjustment. Looks like my adjustment comes from what MFP says I burn in a day and what data my watch gives -- whatever the difference is ends up being my adjustment. Sorry to derail

I am actually set at the lowest -- sedentary Edit to add: I need to go check but I am pretty sure I am at .5 per week. I need to look more into this.

This is me too. The coffee itself doesn't give me much of a boost though, but if I wait I end up with a headache

I’m wanting to lift and firm mine- it has become a lumpy pancake butt and I’m over it

Awesome- thanks everyone
-
Oh perfect! Will do- thanks

Nice job!

Been there and it sucks. I try to not let it get to me but it still made me very uncomfortable. But I also remind myself that my size 2, looks fantastic sister in law has also been asked if she’s expecting. She says she gets bloated sometimes after eating & that’s when she was asked.
-
My Apple Watch is also connected but if I hit around 8000 steps I get a 55 calorie or so adjustment. I wonder why they differ so greatly.

Just today I snapped a picture of a friend. It turned out amazing, she seriously looks great in it. When I showed her she started pointing out her flaws, none of which I saw, and said she really didn't like the picture. I looked at her stunned, I still think it is a remarkable picture. Moral: we are hardest on ourselves…
