This decades “health woo”
It seems like each decade/period of time has some health thing that is all the rage and then later people roll their eyes at it. What do you think this decades will be? Sugar is the enemy? HAAS? Protein shakes/supplements?

Apple Watch total calories vs MFP
What MFP says it gets from Apple Watch for the end of the day vs. what my watch shows are very different. Both images are from today about yesterday’s data- I took my watch off around 9PM. Has any other Apple Watch users noticed this big of a difference? Can anyone explain?

The sad truth about pasta
I weighed out half a serving of pasta today. First time I’ve weighed pasta (my picture shows fluid ounces but i actually switched to grams to verify)...

Weighing pasta
Hi, I know I have seen this posted before but am having issues locating it. I am making spaghetti for dinner and am not sure how to weigh the pasta. Do I weigh it dry or after it has been cooked? Thank you!

Do you say something?
Do you say something if you have friends or people in general say things about weight loss you disagree with or do you just let them do their thing? Does it matter how well you know the person if you do say something? Asking out of curiosity, I don’t say anything against it but also don’t agree. I tend to avoid getting too…

Do you bring your food scale with you?
So not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited to have a good scale finally. I was planning on just packing it in my purse so I have it at work, does anyone else bring it with you? I normally don’t gaf what others think but I had a moment of being concerned I’ll get weird looks fo having/using it- have you had people comment? How…

Ordered a food scale
I ordered a food scale off Amazon. I swear it’s weird but I feel kinda nervous. I’m sure I’m underestimating calories/weight so it’ll be good to see what a serving actually looks like. I’m most curious about weighing things I make- I prepare 99% of our dinners so I’m guessing you weigh each part out? How then do you know…

What are your goals?
What are your goals past ‘lose x amount of pounds?’ I set a goal to hike the incline in Manitou Springs, Colorado next February in under 90 minutes. It’s a 2000 foot elevation gain in under a mile. First time I did it was 18 pounds lighter than I am now and it took about 2 hours. Second time I was heavier and out of shape…

Is being hungry part of it?
Do you think learning to be a little hungry is part of weight loss in the beginning?

Wakeout app
I found an app called Wakeout, it’s designed to be a small series of workouts you do pretty much in bed. It seems like a way to get you going in the morning & I find once I start a workout I’m more likely to keep going for the day. I’m going to try it tomorrow morning. If anyone wants to download and try it again please…

I eat too much
This post is in part me admitting what my issue is, sharing my story and hopefully finding some others that share in the same struggles. And maybe encouraging someone else to also face the truth and make some changes. Flat out, I eat too damn much. I am currently at 169.8, in early 2015 I was at 152 and feeling awesome. I…

Naturally thin
I have an honest question that I am not able to find an answer I trust online and I am really curious. Could part of the reason some people seem to be "naturally thin" be because their bodies process calories differently? I know for a fact that overeating put me where I am, I am not questioning that but I have always…

Pinched nerve in neck
I have a pinched nerve in my neck and a bulging disc. It has caused back/neck pain and limited mobility in my right arm including not having pain-free use of my shoulder and muscle weakness. Wednesday I got my first, and likely last steroid injection due to side effects, and am not feeling 100% in that right arm yet but…

Apple Watch calories
Hi, does anyone know if the total calories on the Apple Watch already includes your exercise calories or not?

Only some dairy causing bloating?
I've been struggling with painful bloating so have been noting when it flares up and have noticed it's happening with some dairy but not all. Like half & half in my coffee does it but not yogurt. Is that a "thing" or is the bloating likely from something else? Meaning is it "normal" to bloat from some dairy but not all?

Arm pain
I've been having a weird pain in my arm, I attached some pictures I hope helps. I cannot remember anything that caused it, it just started a little over a week ago. But if I lift my arm the area in the red hurts and will ache if I've lifted my arm too many times. It feels almost like a pulling pain.

Back for the umpteenth time
I am 36, 5’8, a mom to three, and frustrated with my weight. I started at 145lbs before I had my boys and felt good at that weight although I wanted to be more tone and in shape. I wasn’t really healthy then and was at a lower weight due to an unhealthy lifestyle of hardly eating and smoking like crazy. I got pregnant with…
