I AM IN! Starting weight: 179 Goal weight: 149

Yup exactly that! It's really not 2 lbs of "fat" that you gained overnight. Just stick to your routine, work out, drink plenty of water and the weight will come back down to normal in no time.

Strictly tracking calories, staying under my calorie goal, and not eating the workout calories back has worked excellent for me for the past month. The weight loss has been so consistent it's surprising!

I consider it cheating because I don't allow myself to eat burgers, fries, other fried/high calorie foods on a daily basis. So if I do decide to indulge, I try to balance it out.

Skipping breakfast works for me too!

The very first wake up call was when I went to the doctor for a physical and they told me I weighed 193 lbs. I was so shocked!!! I had gained about 40 lbs in 3 years and I couldn't believe I was about to hit 200 lbs at 22 years old. I realized that I absolutely hated what I saw in the mirror. I hated my fat face, my double…

I have 3 important ones that work for me: 1) Have a cheat meal, NOT a cheat day. 2) I promise myself a grand cheat meal if I see a new low number on the scale. It also teaches me discipline and patience. 3) I always make sure that even though it's a cheat meal, it must fit into my calorie goal for the day. I'd either eat…

I went through a devastating heartbreak which took a huge toll on my self esteem. So I decided to take control of my life and transform my body. I've lost about 10 lbs so far and currently in the process of healing my heart. :)

I'm down for another 6 weeks! We should start a new challenge thread on 7/24.

I never said anything against a caloric deficit. That is of course KEY to any fat loss, which is why I am following it myself currently. I only shared what worked for me personally. I am not a licensed health professional and neither here to make any scientifically accurate claims with my limited knowledge. Eating clean,…

My go to page for all health/workout inquires: "Eat clean foods daily. Tosca Reno, author of "The Eat Clean Diet," suggests eating whole, clean foods for maximum fat-burning potential. Eating clean consists of eating fresh lean proteins, complex-carbohydrates and essential fats. Bodybuilders have used this diet to burn fat…
-
Of course calorie deficit is critical. I assumed that the OP is following a calorie-restricted diet, like most people on MFP. While eating clean doesn't necessarily mean weight loss, eating clean DOES help in reducing fat overall. Also, exercise burns calories AND fat. The main reason why HIIT is so popular is because it…

I've also been doing the 16:8 IF and I love it. I have the same problem as you where if I eat breakfast in the morning, I get hungry faster with not many calories left later during the day (Especially for dinner after gym). I've noticed the following benefits from IF (Stop eating at 8 pm, skipping breakfast, lunch around…
