BMR is the amount of calories needed to keep your organs functioning and your brain working as if you were not active laying down. TDEE is the inclusion of calories required for your set activity level(daily walking, moving arms, carrying things ect) that you picked plus any additional purposeful exercise above that.

How does the program know the difference between a working adult and a retired one? It never asks the question so its pretty safe to assume work schedules are not part of the calculation.

If a few hours later includes the bowl movement then of course you will weigh less than before it.

It is assuming your activity level for every day. So if that is not the case. Eat less on those days or calculate off the lower days and eat more when you are more active.

There is zero chance that is your bmr and probably your tdee including exercise with the stats you gave

I find this comment funny. Dont listen to half the people because they dont know what they are talking about... then dont weight yourself cuz reasons lol... Weighing yourself is useful information especially when looking at longer period trends. Why would you ignore useful information.

Additionally the dehydrating effect of caffeine is a one time effect after a period of avoidance. Someone who has it regularily becomes immune to the diuretic nature which leads you to believe its more of a shock response to excessive caffine spikes than the caffeine itself.

Not to mention 500mg of caffine may have some dehydrating effect but it does not counteract the hydrating effect of 3.5 liters of water that 10 cans of soda contain. Hes completely missunderstanding the verbage.

It occurs to me that its our fault Anvil. We weren't thinking about it clearly enough. nettiklive has been getting their information about metabolism from the people they see every day who have despite eating nothing for days, weeks and in some cases even a month at a time and haven't lost any fat. They are a mortician.
