Many things can contribute to hair loss, like sudden weight loss or change in diet, stress, age, genetics, hormones. It's hard to say if it's diet alone without seeing history and physical evaluations....no carbs is not good. Carbs provide important energy to body and brain, low carbs is good for diabetics and weight…

I'm sorry my comment was never meant to be rude at all and historically I have never posted anything rude. I work in health care and just needing clarification, I thought it was a typo when she posted about anorexia given what she followed with in her own statement. Totally innocent. Sorry.

What I mean by undoing everything is not physical, over eating is what got us into this situation to begin with so allowing yourself to go back to a habit that created the problem is not good. If we had control psychologically, none of us would be on this site needing advise on days we feel we may overrate. A healthy way…

A study just came out that linked flu shot to pregnancy losses. I think it's worthless unless your immune system is compromised but even then it doesn't protect anyone, not really....so many strains of flu and unlike bacterial sickness a virus can't be treated with antibiotics and no cure for the flu virus. Big pharm fail…

You can eat everything at the table, set a meal calorie goal and just just focus on portion size, know what your eating and calorie content....weigh food if you have too....stop eating before you fill full. Cut out Soda and alcohol and stick to water and load up on the healthier things. Take a walk with family, go do…

Same thing here but feel cured. I take a kelp supplement once a week, multivitamins and megafoods thyroid three days a week and am 40/40/20 ( protein, carbs, fats) eating low carbs have completely took away symptoms, but took about 3 months. Weight that would never come off easily losing 2 pounds per week. I cut out bread…

Calorie deficit is the only real effective way to lose weight. Burn more then you consume. Cardio is better in many ways because you burn more calories faster then weight lifting, but I don't have any educated insight. lol I refuse to weight lift being over weight, but plan on strength training within ten pounds of goal.

I follow it, even more now then ever because as a woman obese is called curvy and being unhealthy is a new norm. The BMI height weight charts serves as a good guideline. Im fat, right now.....nothing healthy and liberating about an increase in heart disease and diabetes. Of course life circumstances happen, that we should…

Yes, I've gone to doctors and all blood work comes back normal. Diet and exercise certainly always helps, but it never quite goes away so I thought I would try something new. Based on everyone's opinion it doesn't sound like a good idea. I would never have asked a question if I wasn't willing to listen to everyone.

Because it's not doing anything after 15 years to make it better this far, secondly you can get protein and fat from fruits and veggies...bananas and avocados have fat...(example) and it's healthier.

VegaOne or Isagenix is what I use on occasion, but I prefer real food.

High protein works well

Don't give up, you can add me as a friend if you want. I totally get where you are coming from. Emotional eating is very real! Don't let a binge eat or the feeling of losing ground derail you from your goals. You are not weak, you are human. Being human is good, beating yourself up for being human, not good. Changing…

I have that to lose and am successful on the same calorie goals. I am nine weeks in and have lost 19.2 pounds. It can be done, but it is going to take a change in attitude about food, exercise and you can't not accept defeat or let anything seem impossible. The first three weeks were the hardest, but if you gradually (not…

Your not qualified in anyway to give nutrition and weight loss assistance to a potential pediatric client. Not sure why that is uncomfortable, because if someone asked me to play a nutritionist, or a doctor or even a pilot and it was not in the legal scope or ethical scope of what I do for a living, i would say no and it…

My first day at the gym, I felt the same. I walked in at 203 surrounded by fitness models (well, they looked like it haha) I was surrounded by mirrors and very aware at that point about two things. I looked like crap and felt just as bad physically and psychologically. I wanted to walk out so bad, and I'm certain I cried a…

Of course your going to be tired, your body is having to do work rather then laze around and get fat. I was tired the first three weeks, its because my body went from doing nothing to being active. It gets easier. It's actually more exhausting to stay heavy and be in active then it is to get fit. It seems hard, because…

I need to lose a lot of weight so I'm just doing cardio for now. I get on elliptical machine, it's low impact and I burn 500-600 calories per 60mn (30mn in morning, 30 mn at night) I also took up spinning three days a week and burn 450 per class. The gym can assist you in learning about all the stuff they had. Go in and…

I had a rotator cuff injury had surgery, most exercises will make it worse if it's not corrected. I waited years, but I actually tore mine. It never really got better until ten years later. I would 100% advise to go get referral to physical therapist for the right exercises....you can make your injury worse. Or google PT…

People didn't start noticing until 18 pounds for me, that is about the time clothes started to just feel a bit more baggy. I still fit in the same size but barely, that's when people start to notice, but it could be different for others. Also I had a baby 9 months ago, so it may be more noticeable for me as many people saw…

Add me as a friend, I had the same attitude. I was tired the first three weeks...it's our body adjusting. You need lots of support along the way! Don't give up the first month is the hardest. I have over 40 to lose.....I'm down 18 pounds in 8 weeks. It's worth it. Start of slowly, choose to walk at least 30-60 man a…

I haven't gone on maintenance but will eat back 50% of my workout calories sometimes. I still maintain a deficit. I save it for special times, like my son is headed into surgery soon. We are having a BBQ for him, I chose chicken instead of hamburgers, a salad over fries, fruit over pudding and at the end I am eating two…

I suffer from major fatigue, never been officially diagnosed but it's debilitating. It's gotten a little better now that I've dropped 18 pounds, but I can somewhat related. Exercise keeps my fatigue at bay, or at least the majority of it. Add me, I'm a great support base

I'm 36, you can add me. I have two kids and have a long journey ahead.

Diet pills do not work, if anything you lose water weight then you gain twice as much back. It's also not regulated by FDA and most can cause heart and kidney issues even death. Not worth it. My mom had a friend juice, took it to extreme and died a year later.

Firstly, stop putting so much pressure on yourself. IVF is extremely stressful. Stress isn't good for weight loss or TTC. The medication causes weight gain. It's normal. Just keep going with exercise and and make sure you have a calorie deficit. Stick with it but don't stress over it. Weight will go away. Good luck with…

Don't measure your food if you don't like doing it. It's not a good idea though to ignore measuring food at first. I bought a food scale, I do t because ranch can have 110 calories for two tablespoons, if you don't know how much it is you could easily get 300 calories on your salad alone, then you will be posting on here,…

1. Attitude, it's 100% what contributes to achieving your goals. 2. Education-learn and do this the healthy way (no fad diets, diet pills, quick weight loss schemes) 3. Prepare your meals, have a plan on what you eat a head of time 4. Track calories, weigh food on food scale. Must have calorie deficit to lose weight. 5.…
