I use fit bit app to log my daily weigh ins and take the average for the week. Im eating 1900 cals a day with a lot to loose at 280lbs and should be looking to loose 2lbs a week.. I’m really getting p***** off with it all!

I’ve followed SW for almost 2 years and lost 5stone 4.5 lbs BUT it is very restricted and if you don’t have hour + free time in the evening to cook EVERYTHING from scratch it becomes a chore I’ve just switched to calorie counting x

Yeah I’ve lost 5 stone so far on slimming world but still have around another 6-7 stone to loose. Xx

Exactly this i followed slimming world plan yesterday logged my food here and my breakfast lunch and dinner only came to 720 calories. I need to meet a goal of 1720 to loose 2lb a week. I had some treats last night to bring my calories up but this was probs about 30 syns worth. I would have gone to bed hungry on 720…

I have lost 5 stone with slimming world and still have another 6 stone to loose at a minimum but I don’t feel I can continue with sW fully now, I find it too restrictive and like you say spend most of my time cooking dinner. How are you finding the transition from SW to this? This is my first day and I’m already struggling. I have about 1000 more calorie to eat but that would probably take me a i to a weeks worth of syns and facing a gain on the scales

I wasn’t going to eat back any calories from Fitbit unless I really felt like I needed too, will see what the scales say doing it like this if I’m loosing more than I entered in here a week I will eat back a % and see how it goes. X

This is taken over from my Fitbit, my Fitbit says I’ve burned 3541 calories today. I’m taking the 1200 calories transferred from my Fitbit to here are my calories burned by being at work on my feet and walking today. Everything I’ve logged is accurate all weighed out and logged in. This is my day so far. Do I need to meet my calorie goal for the day? With around 1000 calories to eat till i reach this goal it would be taking me way over a whole weeks worth of “syns” on slimming world resulting in a big weight gain if I done it everyday.

This is my day so far, do I need to meet my goal for calories today? Just had dinner and feeling pretty satisfied. I’m almost scared to use my calories for “treats” as following SW for so long I would have to use a weeks worth of “syns” to make up to my calorie goal resulting in a weight gain.

I have my activity level set to lightly active , do I leave it set to this an eat back calories transferred over from my Fitbit or do I set to not active and eat the exercise calories back?

If I go by MFP and eating back 50% of exercise calories do I set my exercise to sedentary and add them from my Fitbit as I go? Or do I keep it already set to lightly active plus it’s adding my calories from my Fitbit and eating 50% of those back?

I’ve set my activity level to lightly active on here and all other calculators. I don’t go to the gym or do any exercise class but I do walk kids to school walk to work and back and my job is on my feet all day. So I’ve set it at light most days I do well over 16,000 steps.

I have my details in MFP but it has given me a completely different number altogether different to all of the calculators I have used. My daily goal on MFP is 1720 a day ( with the same information as I put into the other calculators) + exercise calories. So I don’t know what to follow and how to change my daily goal on…

So based on the calculator above that will mean eating around 2277 calories a day to loose weight that doesn’t seem right, I wouldn’t eat that many calories a day I would just be eating for the sake of making sure I meet my deficit.

Just done one one the link you suggested and it’s given a different result. Still a different result completely from MFP, I’ve no idea what I’m doing really. I’ve never calorie counted before I have been following slimming world

Hi thanks for the reply I used the IIFym ( I think) calculator and it said to subtract 20% from my TDEE which takes me back to the BMR they gave me. Age 27 current weight 264Lbs goal weight of 154lbs I’ve read so much on BMR and TDEE with weight loss and i still can’t get my head around it
