I wanted the versa for the waterproof feature, and cause it's pretty. But my budget had me get the Charge 2, still quite happy with it.

My mom is a type 2 diabetic, healthy weight, and honestly it's not the calories that mess with her glucose levels, but carbs. She could eat 2000+ calories a day with little carbs and be just fine, but 800 calories with more carbs and she's all out of whack. Might be a good idea to meet with a registered dietician (NOT…

Fitbit and MFP frequently have syncing issues. The best option honestly is to just wait it out. Disconnecting and reconnecting your Fitbit with MFP tends to make it take longer for them to fix. Mine doesn't appear to be syncing this morning either, but I also know I tend to only burn about 1450 calories on a Sunday (it's a…

Another vote for Jessica Smith on YouTube!!

I get food hangovers. Part of it could be because I don't sleep as well when I eat out of the norm. I'm way more fidgety after a high caloric meal, so I toss and turn all night, and no sleep makes me feel like garbage.

I believe the Charge 2 is water resistant, not water proof, swimming/showering is not recommended. But yes, let Fitbit track it all, you only need to log food into MFP. Any manually logged exercises should be done in the Fitbit app, then Fitbit will let MFP know.

For some of us it's not that we don't want the dairy nutrients, but we can't consume dairy without some unpleasant side effects. That being said, the Silk Vanilla flavored almond coffee creamer is also quite tasty. 25 calories for 15 ml. It's creamier than almond milk, and doesn't take over the coffee taste like 1/4-1/2…

When I hit 18,000+ steps (which is rare) I get a 700+ calorie credit. I've got mfp set at sedentary though. I'm a 5"4, 32 year old, 125 lb female if that helps. My Fitbit seems quite accurate. I've been maintaining since December using my Fitbit adjustment as a guide.

So, get this. My liver and kidneys naturally detox my body every. Freaking. Day! It's amazing! No pills, smoothies, shakes, juices, or vinegar required! And I eat like normal the whole time! Even when I eat potato chips or cookies my body is being detoxed. Pretty sure your liver and kidneys do the same thing. If not...…

This is totally normal post partum, though somewhat depressing. There isn't really anything you can do to stop it, just gotta wait it out. Eat well, and keep up with the vitamins especially if you're nursing.

This is a free app, so I'm trying really hard not to complain...but this is the third time in a month this has happened. I need it to connect again
-
Mine hasn't been syncing as regularly as they used to either. Seems to take forever for them to catch up.

Peanut butter is my weakness.

You say you measure your food, but do you weigh it using a digital food scale,in grams? Liquids are the only thing you should measure using cups and spoons.

"Because I suck at eyeballing portions"

Glad to know it isn't just me...I guess I'll be doing some manual adjustments today, I've already had a killer workout, and an active afternoon ahead of me.

Almost half my diet is carbs (usually hangs out at 45%), for the first time in years, I'm love handle free  all about the calories deficit, though strength training helps in giving you the ultimate shape you want.
-
I don't trust my calisthenics/strength training burn on Fitbit, mostly because I know I'm only working for maybe half the time (the other half is spent resting), so I just manually adjust the intensity level down by about half when I log it. Yea, I'm pushing myself as hard as I can, but only for about 12- 15 minutes of the…

One packet of Splenda is 4 calories, so if you're using packets to sweeten individual cups you can add that

My mom strictly used margarine when I was growing up, so a special treat was going to a restaurant and slathering saltines with real Butter as our appetizer. I actually still enjoy a saltine with a thin layer of butter on it. My parents also decided we weren't going to buy sugary cereal anymore, so they only got plain…

Mine seems pretty accurate, I'm still figuring out maintainence, but I've been losing very slowly leaving only 600-800 Fitbit calories left a week, so I'm working on eating all of them to keep my current weight
-
I like to bank calories during the week so I can enjoy goodies on the weekend, essentially what the weekly points were, you just have to choose to set them aside.
-
Chicken pot pie for dinner, lemon pie and apple pie for dessert. I only have the calories for half a piece of each dessert pie, but I'll take it

After losing 25 lbs, moving into maintenance, and working on a progressive strength training/bodyweight plan, I saw a slight difference in 6 weeks, and was really excited about that! Patience, young Padawan. This is a marathon, not a Sprint. Eat at a manageable deficit, use a food scale for everything…

I'm really loving Body By You, simple to understand, progressive, and no extra equipment needed...though I will be investing in a pull up bar eventually, my doors couldn't handle me doing pull ups on them haha

This last part will be slow. It's very likely your fat loss will often be masked by water weight, which is likely what your jump in the scale was when you were on maintenance Calories. During my last 10 I'd stay around the same weight for 3 weeks then *woosh*, right after my cycle down 2-4 lbs. Next week, another water…

I haven't done this particular plan, but I have done several of her videos on YouTube, I definitely feel like she is a good trainer, and her workouts can pack a punch! Try some of her free stuff on YouTube and see if you like her. She's one of my favorites. As for results, I cycle through different programs every few…

I never feel full, so basically what I do is just serve up, and eat one serving of whatever it is, and call it good (as long as it fits in my calories). I can feel full, but 5 minutes later feel like I could eat again. I don't need to, I know I'm not actually hungry, but I could fit more food in there. I try to hit my…

Losing weight during pregnancy is rarely recommended, unless you get the ok from your midwife you should eat maintenance. Add some calorie dense stuff to your day. Nut butter, olive oil or butter for cooking, avocado, nuts. Grab some chocolate or ice cream. I loved ending my day with a bowl of ice cream when pregnant.

Why is 100 grams so important? I can do string cheese (28 grams) for 80 calories, 17 grams of almonds is 100 calories, 16 grams of peanut butter is 90 calories, stick it on some celery for just a few calories more. The only thing I eat in 100+ gram increments for snacks are fruit, veggies, and light Greek yogurt.
