I used a Fitbit Flex for about a year before it died. It was okay; I liked it enough to wear it constantly, at least, but the app was really buggy on my phone and laptop which kept me from really paying much attention to it. (The app seems to have improved a lot in the last two years from what I've seen online, though.)…

MFP updates every 10lbs you lose, in my experience. You can always just set the site to “maintenance” and choose to only eat 1600 on your own so your limit doesn’t ever change, but I find having a visible limit is more helpful/encouraging. If your goal weight has a lower maintenance than 1600, you might run into problems…

I was at least 68kg/150lb on 5/23, and measured 60kg/132lb on 8/23. 162cm/5'3.5" and 24 y/o. None of my pants fit three months ago. Now every pair needs a belt to wear. Still have 10kg to go though... ):

Okay! It's probably better to be more "hand on" about it in the long run anyways, haha. Thanks for the help.

I find it easy to just bake vegetables in a pan with some olive oil. Usually three together. Broccoli, kabocha, edamame, carrots, potatoes, cauliflower with curry powder, asparagus, sweet potato, whatever you feel like, and put it over a serving of rice. They're not the best IMO, but there are pages on Facebook (like…

Because you are heavier than your goal weight, your maintenance calories are higher. Someone who weighs 75kg needs to eat more to STAY 75kg than someone who is 50kg needs to eat to STAY 50kg. It might not be a huge difference in calories, but there should be some difference. MFP's calorie goal estimation is based on your…

This made me laugh out loud. My mom was so addicted to Diet Coke, she once went BLIND from withdrawals because the conference she was at had no vending machines and she forgot to bring her own, and this is exactly how she kicked soda. She likes the berry flavor. (Her vision returned within 15 minutes after someone found…

For lunch, I almost always eat a bento with 50 grams (dry, 130-160 grams when cooked depending on the water) of Japanese short rice and 150 grams of whatever vegetables I feel like eating in the large 300ml container, and something different (hard boiled egg, hummus and carrots, pickles, etc.) in one of the small 150ml…

I was always measured at 5'3.5" in America, but am 162cm in Japan, which is apparently 5'4". My goal weight is 55kg (125lbs). I weighed 128-132 throughout high school, 135-140 in college, and peaked at 150lbs (68kg) a year or so after graduation. (I am 24 now.) None of those weights made me happy at the time. I'm currently…

You just need to give it time. Continue for another month, and then see what has changed. I use Happy Scale and weigh myself every day. For almost two weeks my weight fluctuated within a 2kg range. It was SO frustrating to see my weight yo-yo. However, I continued to stay under my calorie goal the entire time, and I…
