Struggling to find things to eat

Hi Everyone,

After losing half my body weight, I've found myself having a huge addiction to Egg's.
I eat 5 eggs in an omelette for breakfast, and the same again for lunch, I'll eat around 5 eggs with 2 chicken breasts.
I will do this every day all week, I do attend the gym nearly everyday but I think I should be eating more of a variety of foods especially with me doing Spin classes and Muscle work.

Anyone able to give any advice?

Cheers.

OK - Would 2 chicken breasts with lots of vegetables be a suitable lunch? Do I need any carbs?

Something has gone wrong. How did you eat before?

All kinds of junk, lots of fast foods and biscuits / sweets.
I've now changed all my eating habits to sensible and portion control.

Okay, so you know what you shouldn't eat too much of. What is your idea of a healthy diet?

    Vegetables are carbs.

However, for lunch, I often eat chicken, brown rice and mixed veggies. It's delicious! :)

I find it easy to just bake vegetables in a pan with some olive oil. Usually three together. Broccoli, kabocha, edamame, carrots, potatoes, cauliflower with curry powder, asparagus, sweet potato, whatever you feel like, and put it over a serving of rice. They're not the best IMO, but there are pages on Facebook (like Tasty, Tastemade, Nourish, etc.) that post short videos of simple meals, which could inspire you?

I don't know - do you like it? Does it fill you up? Does it satiate and satisfy you? Does it fit your calorie goal?

Vegetables are carbs. You might like to add rice or pasta or make a sandwich/wrap. You could add sauce and/or spices. Heck, dollop on a (measured) spoon of PB and make an easy satay.... Fats are good for you!

Start adding veggies to your eggs. Slowly branch out.

I recommend the old fashioned food groups: meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit, starches. Balance out quantities of each while staying in your calorie goal. You look to be going very light on veg, fruit, and starches (carb heavy foods). Your body needs them all. Carbs give you energy, so you do need them, including for muscle recovery.

rice, veggies (I buy the microwave baggies that are both mixed together); if you like pancakes, then Kodiak Cakes are higher in protein and not too bad in taste
