Calorie Goal - Does it update with weight automatically?

Hey guys,
This is probably a stupid question!

I've been using MFP since 5/23/17. Keeping up with the food diary and stuff hasn't really been an issue. However, I'm a little confused about how "automatic" MFP really is? People generally talk as if it updates itself, but... am I actually responsible for updating my calorie goal when I lose weight? Should I be doing this every two weeks or something to stay accurate?

I was messing around with my goal settings today, just to check what my maintenance calories would be calculated as, but my weight loss seems to have impacted my calorie goal rather significantly and I can't return to my old calorie goal despite using the same settings as before. (.25kg loss a week, sedentary.) This caught me off guard because I had assumed the site would already be taking my current recorded weight into account.
I record my weight every day on HappyScale and update my weight on MFP whenever I hit a lower round number, so it's generally pretty recent on MFP. It appears as if the site doesn't automatically account for this, however, so I just want to verify how often I should be updating my goals.

Thanks for the help!

(Background info? Not really sure it's necessary but just in case: SW 68kg, CW 60kg, GW 55kg. 162cm, 24y/o female.)

I find sometimes it doesn't .... its meant to ... i think if you adjust your macros it doesn't auto-update.
Best thing is to go is go 'My Home' > Goals > View Guided Setup and see if it changes

But looks like it did .... best thing is to do it manually when you've had a loss

Okay! It's probably better to be more "hand on" about it in the long run anyways, haha. Thanks for the help.

When you update your current weight using Progress (on the app) or Check-In (on the web), MFP does not automatically recalculate your daily Calorie goal. If you continue to update your current weight under Progress or Check-In, MFP will only prompt or ask you if you want to update your Goals when there has been a total of 10 pounds lost since the last time you updated your Goals.

Sometimes MFP has bugs and it may not happen; or, a synced tracker or synced scale may interfere with the automated prompt process. You can re-run your goal setup at any time.

I am not an expert. I have updated twice manually since starting MFP. It has never asked me if I want to update nor has MFP done any updating automatically. I have lost 43 lbs (19.5 kg) so far. I was thinking about updating again it's been almost 20 lbs since I did it. It's a pain for me because I have to readjust my macros when updating as well.
