  • 1) in canada they are in every grocery store and if there is an asian section they will be there. But not sure where you are! 2) thai chili sauce is barely spicy at the amount for the full salad but it's technically dried chilli flales in it. My baby ate it and didn't realise 3) change the jalapenos for a little lemon…
  • Yes that's what i meant! Basically eat normally but less to be in a deficit rather than those prescribed diets that make you binge or fall off the wagon. Than i most definitely never heard of flexible dieting and am so confused as to how not being in a calorie deficit can work by simply watching macros. If it's that…
  • I think a lot of people on MFP are doing flexible dieting. It's more a lower calorie lifestyle than dieting which is traditionaly a specific type of food ( clean, raw, vegan, paleo...). How many calories are you currently eating? The cycle thing is also a great idea for you but as she said...it takes lots of control. I…
  • If you are running out of food so early in the day i suggest to add more veggies to add low calorie snacks with fiber and protein in your breakfast! I always prep my lunch and breakfast the day before work so i know what will be in my diary and how much i will have for dinner. It could help you if you work on weekdays.
  • I wouldn't mind it at all.. I'm 5'10" with a 38" waist and currently 50lbs overweight according to BMI. At a 34.5" waist i would be below the overfat ratio. Being shapped like a pear makes me less at risk of anything weight related and my waist is usually around 34 inches when im still somewhat overweight based on BMI, yet…
  • Also! Id prefer loose slin on my tummy and slim look with clothes on than rolls and jiggles consistently clothes or no clothes
  • Oh! Even better 50-60lbs on 6' women is nothing compared to a 5' women. When i was 16 (yes i realise my elasticity was great then) i lost 85lbs and i did not have any loose skin. So you may have some but i don't think it would be an insane amount aspecialy if you have weight everywhere on your body rather than all your…
  • I met my fiance at 185-190lbs and am happy at that weight (5'10") and got pregnant at 210lbs.... 2 months after giving birth (birth was may 2016) i weighed 264lbs!! By the time my son was 1, i was 250lbs and got serious and lost 26lbs on MFP in the last 2 months. So i am now 224lbs and my first goal is pre pregnancy…
  • I work in a government office in canada and id say half are overweight or obese. Definitely not 2 out of 14 being non overweight! Just in my group, 7 are overweight and 8 are not!
  • I've done this all of the previous times in relationships and it worked as I didn't live with them but I ate meticulously when I wasn't with them. Now that I'm living with my fiancé and have a son, I do like the ladies above. There are snacks and some nights after a work out I tell my fiancé I'd prefer no junk beside me…

  • Yea I'm not gonna lie, I don't look at my macro's unless it's for vitamins/minerals. The muffin suggestion is basically to reduce the calories and fill you up for longer with more protein so you can enjoy a full one and not worry!
  • chicken veggy stir fry with soy sauce instead of sugary sauce. Omelet filled with veggies. Or fish if you like it.
  • My strategy with that is to add greek yogurt instead of fat and less sugar and make them into mini muffins!
  • Some of my friends know since it came up in a conversation when we were hiking and my lunch friends know because people bring desserts and I do not take a piece lol. Once I explain, I don't have anyone telling me what to do or not do but then again, they are not crazy dieters at all. They are mostly all not obese or not…
  • Yes for sure! Simply go in the database and search the main name of that food. Enter the grams, volumes or ounces that you ate
  • Yes in your chin as well... it's always hard to see on the face when guys have beards! I'm sure your body shows it as well!
  • Oh yes that makes more sense! I now fit in my 14/16 Large dress :) ....the loose material on the hips saves me. • So I'm Canadian and was interested in finding out if this was legal here since all of you seem to know what it is. Based on what I found, in the US it's generally dispensed to people who have 100+lbs to lose and not below. And also, it is illegal in Canada due to potential heart valve issues and because it's classified as…
  • Thanks, that makes sense. I am curious what minimal newbie gains are? How much are we talking about (what is minimal)?
  • I honestly would go see a therapist to take care of the issue while dieting. I am also a recovering anorexic but that was 10 years ago. Back then I had a lot to loose and went on something like WW but with calorie counting with my mom. At first everything was great and I was so young that it was working like a charm and…
  • This is very true! I do count my coffee as an added 10 oz of water BUT I also do need to drink another cup of water due to my coffee intake since the caffeine dehydrates me pretty badly. It is still mostly water but it's like taking 10 oz of water with a caffeine pill. The pill itself could dehydrate you if you are…
  • Thanks for the answer, clearly there are situations where you just cannot control the weight gain.
  • Did you lose that weight quickly and was the birth of your last baby within last year? If the answer if yes to both of those questions, I have a feeling it will get better (not perfect but better). Belly skin recovery from pregnancy takes more than a year for most women. Nonetheless, I'm sure weight training and constant…
  • Congrats!! Make sure you have B12 and iron! Lots of non vegan pregnant ladies become anemic so take vitamins and iron supplements if you have too, just get your levels checked often with your doctor. Also take a prenatal vitamin everyday to ensure the baby has everything needed to grow strong!
  • I get more hungry right after and the day after exercise but its because i don't always eat all of my exercise calories back. So technically it's not my metabolism getting faster. If you eating all of your exercise calories back and still are more hungry, maybe its the weight lifting since it repairing muscle for a few…
  • Did you try to keep your weight down while pregnant and failed or you just ate whatever you want without worrying? I'm asking because I gained 55 lbs for my first pregnancy and plan on being skinnier at the beginning of my next and I want to gain a lot less if I can! I was sick for 5 months every time my stomach didn't…
  • Good decision!! You will still loose weight trust me. And don't expect 6lbs because that was also a little bit if waterweight! It's always great in the first 2 weeks lol.
  • I do the same as mommagem2017 but i do feel not as high energy if i cut out all carbs and it affects my work outs ( i tried it before). I would make sure to eat enough protein though. I allow myself sweets everyday so i don't feel deprived (1cookie or 1/2 cup icecream, pop cycle...) but it fits in my calories.
  • For sure you will lose at 1500 calories no problem! I wouldn't personnaly go a full month on 1000 at your weight since you arent morbidly obese but that's up to you! Have you weighed yourself since the start?
