Well I was super fat obviously and therefore that’s my concern about not counting

Yes I started on my journey in April 2017 and I have never missed a day logging. It amazes me when I see it on my feed the number of days in a row. I’m not sure I could stop logging now even if I wanted to. I log even if I’m over my calories for the day. It holds me accountable but I just wonder at this point if it will be…

VERY IMPORTANT!!! I weigh myself about 6 times a day at certain points. Holds me accountable during the day. I’ve been having some really good days and twice weighed less at night than I did in the morning. Nobody can tell me it doesn’t work or it’s obsessive. It works for me. I enjoy the scale even when I don’t like the…

This is not meant to be rude AT ALL. I’m just wondering (because until last July when I joined MFP I had no clue how much I was actually consuming and how little I was burning in a day until I actually started logging which I have every day for 290 days) if you’ve been drinking meal replacements and are truly burning 4000…

Thanks for all the tips and insight. Intellectually I know weighing myself constantly is ridiculous I truly do but when you’ve been big your whole life and this is the first time I’ve been able to lose weight (and it’s all because of this app) the thought of letting my weight get out of control again is not something I can…

Yeah I do have some excessive stress in my life right now. Never thought that could affect weight I guess. Thanks
-
I recognize weight fluctuations and I know mine because sadly I’m addicted to my scale so I weigh myself about 4 times a day so I can note the usual fluctuations but this is not one I’ve ever experienced before. It’s stressful

Before pic

Well this before picture is after my 2nd child. I went on to have 2 more after that picture. The second picture is me today. So I do know intellectually I’m NOT fat. My abdomen is definitely out of shape from the 4 kids and the weight gain over all those years. So it’s not super helpful for someone to say 167 is fat. It’s…

I’ve been overweight my whole life. Even as a child. I was called whaler. The whole school called me that. Then I married the man who I thought was the love of my life. He spent 20 years being physically and verbally abusive. A lot of name calling in front of my children. Fat and pathetic and worthless and die already etc.…

Thanks to all who responded :). Realized auto correct sucks. Should have said “you look great” not “you like ok great”. Sorry. Sounded educated there lol

I was 222lbs. Started at 1200 calories with no exercise. Lost 50lbs in 19 weeks. Still eating 1200 a day now with exercise. 22lbs to go to goal.
-
And no I've never stalled in those 50lbs. It's been almost 21 weeks and 50lbs so I've kept a nice pace so I'm not use to this. Not sure I'm enjoying it either
-
That may be the problem too I suppose. I eat 1200 calories but when I exercise I don't necessarily eat back those calories. I've been looking at that as a bonus for me but maybe it's actually hindering the process because when I burn 500 calories I still only eat 1200 instead of 1700 so I come in under goal obviously…

I started on April 28th and today hit the 50lb weight loss mark. 22lbs to get to my goal of 150lbs. Even though MFP said 1553 calorie intake I've stuck to 1200 the entire 19 weeks. It doesn't always take that long. Keep busy and the weeks just fly by. Track everything that goes in your mouth. That's what I did and it was…

Lost a lot like you starting out and the weight loss will slow naturally as you lose more and more so I wouldn't worry about. If you're doing…

Feel free to add :)

Ok. Clearly nearly everyone believes 1200 is too few. And to be honest I watch a lot of my 600lb life lol. And when that doctor puts those over weight obese people on a diet it's a strick 1000 calorie a day diet. Low carb high protein. So since I didn't want to end up on that show I figured 1200 calorie seems about right.…

Yes well I woke today and had totally forgiven myself. Mostly thanks to all of you for reminding me that I have lost 33lbs in a few months and that one day is not the end of the world. I have adjusted my calorie intake to 1400 from 1200 which is a step because I'm not sure I can get to 1567 right away but I'm sure when I…
-
Oh I figured it out :)
-
Where is the calculator thing? I clicked on goals and this is what it shows but where do I go back to the calculator and how do I adjust my daily calorie intake amount? Thanks
-
Cause it asked for my weight and my goal so I put 189 and goal of 150
-
I didn't set per week I just put 150 for the overall goal and then it said 1200. But prior to that before I put a goal it said 1567
-
Thank you :). Yes I may increase it cause the general consensus is it's too low. And yes they will have to get over it. I just don't want to spend the whole time doing it and then miss out on the vacation itself :). Gotta find the balance I guess
-
Oh really? Ok. Well maybe I'll try that. Might help with the hungry and occasional dizziness
-
But you must weigh a lot less than me right?
-
But then when I put in my goals etc it told me 1200. So not sure what I should be eating to be honest
-
Yeah it said 1567 but that seems high doesn't it
-
Ok I'll just try and enjoy the vacation without making calories my focus :) thanks
