Huzzah - thank you.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have adjusted my calories, I'm down about 200 from when I started on MFP in July. I also do weigh everyday - that's how I know about the constant up and down in agonizing detail. We have a recumbent bike I haven't been using, guess it's time to start giving that a go. I haven't resigned…

I want to encourage you to be diligent when your bloodwork comes back. Sometimes if the TSH numbers come back in the normal range Dr's think they're done or there's nothing to do. If you're still feeling crappy then you need medication. I need my TSH super low for me to feel "normal" and it took a lot of years and…

I'm the mom of 2 daughters, on 300 mg of levothyroxine. I started out the year with 100 lbs to lose, I'm down 70 now. Congrats on your loss so far! Just keep chipping away, 10 lbs a month is a great accomplishment.

I'm 5'11" and started the year at 300 lbs so setting a goal of getting to 199 seemed like a good idea. I haven't weighed in the hundreds since I was in Jr. High. I'm down 70 lbs right now and still can't really wrap my head around getting there. A healthy BMI is about 20 lbs less than that so I may re-evaluate once I'm…

Age: 49 Height: 5'11 Starting weight: 300 Current weight: 230 Old size > New size 44in > 41.5 (Bust) 43.5in > 38 (waist) 56.5in > 49.5 (Hips) I used to have a 13 inch difference between my waist and hips. I still have an 11.5 inch difference.

Did shakes in 2012 lost 100 lbs - then promptly gained it all back when I started eating food again. I also blew out my gall bladder in the process. My thoughts are generally not good.

It was giving me the 1230 for 2 lbs. I just did it again at 1.5 lbs and it gave me 1460.
-
Thanks for the info - I'm firmly in the 40-75 lb range. So if I want to lose 1.5 a week what calorie count should I be eating then?
-
Should my TDEE be something else? I tried 2 other websites, one of them was about the same. Another was about 2200. But that site gave me a BMR of 1835.
-
I did not include exercise.
-
Yes - I chose 2 lbs. I mean I have the weight to lose 2 lbs a week.

Took me 5 and a half months to lose 50.6 lbs. (I started in January at 300). I didn't do any specific program or diet, just CICO in fact I wasn't even on MFP or tracking calories then.

Do you have a Dress Barn (I hate that name) near you? Half the store is regular size and half the store is plus size. That way if you are sort of straddling regular and plus sizes they have both options in one place.

HW 300, CW 231, and GW 199 (I'm 5’11) have been logging since mid-July (79 days) but started losing weight in early January. Eating 1230 calories.

I started out in January focusing on losing 100 lbs - I'm down 70 now. I'm pretty sure I'm looking at more than another 30 but I'll say that's my minimum at this point.

The older I get (I'm 49 now) the more issues seem to crop up, some are just small nagging things but over time I can easily see them compounding with not so small serious things that are currently under control. I don't want to be one of those immobile, home bound people who are a burden to their family. I want to work…

I've lost 70 lbs and I don't think I look any different. My clothes and measurements tell me otherwise but it doesn't compute. I keep telling myself I'll take pictures after the next 5 lbs because that's going to be when the light bulb goes off (on?) and it all makes sense that I'm really losing.

Every 4 weeks on a Friday morning.

I set out this year to lose 45 kilos (100 lbs - I think I did the conversion right), I'm down 32 kilos so far. You just keep chipping away at it. I figured time is going to pass anyway, do I want to be 70 lbs heavier or do I want to be where I am now? My initial goal is to get to 90 kilos (199 lbs) and then maybe another…

My husband could easily stand to lose 100 if not 150 lbs but this journey isn't about him, it's about me. Do I wish he was doing it with me, yes because I want us to be healthy and together for a long time but he has to do his journey. So for now you do you and let him do him - be an example and maybe one day you can be an…

Started out the year at 300 lbs am down 70 lbs now, I want to get to one-derland for sure after that we'll see. Healthy bmi is another 20 lbs past that. Just turned 49, I'd like to be solidly in maintenance by 50.
-
Just to give you a point of reference. I started out the year looking to lose 100 lbs - I lost 24 lbs in 8 weeks. 16 the first 4 weeks, 8 the second 4 weeks. I've been at this almost 9.5 months now and I'm down just about 70 lbs.

I started on Abilify last fall and have lost just about 70 lbs since January. It has completely taken away my appetite and cravings. But I tend to be the exception to the rule with most medications.
-
100 days is essentially 14 weeks - I'd love to see 28 lbs gone by then. But heading into the holiday heavy time of the year I'll be happy if the needle just keeps moving "south."
-
It took me between 2-3 weeks, but I started at 300 lbs.
-
I've noticed I eat less food now - or get full easier. We had pizza a few weeks ago and I felt like I was feeling particularly hungry that day so I decided I was going to eat 2 pieces even before my husband was home with it. When I actually got the food on my plate I could only eat one piece and I was already full. Back in…

Took me 70 lbs to go from a size 26 to a 20.

I started the year with over 100 to lose MFP gave me 1320 as a target with no exercise. I'm down just about 70 lbs now.

I didn't get married until I was 35. I was grateful for the single years prior to that where I was able to do the things I wanted to do - travel, education, etc. After I got married I had 2 kids and I felt much more settled to focus my attention on them because I had the time of freedom and adventure prior to marriage and…
