Check out Nerd Fitness on YouTube. They have some good videos.

I just put some PB2 in my oatmeal this morning for the first time and I really liked it. I liked it better than conventional peanut butter.

I was gonna search Google Images for sloth memes but I'm too lazy.

Nope. :)

Vacation a few weeks ago, was up 7lbs in 7 days. I anticipated the consequences; actually I would have thought that it would have been a little more. Didn't track or log calories, but I'm sure I was over maintenance. Chinese buffet one day, ice cream and gelatto, fish fry and potatoes, burgers and hot dogs and sweet corn,…

Great job! :)

The app gave me the same calorie base, but I know from past experience that if my calories are too low I don't have enough energy to do what I want and need to do and my weight loss stalls. So, I set it to 1500 calories and am losing at a decent rate. I also manually adjusted my macros because I just don't do well with…

Sorry. I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum. I intended it to go in the Bodybuilding forum.

I don't think it's a bad idea. In the past I would get frustrated and cared too much about what other people thought. I would lose weight-a significant amount of weight-and people would still try to tell me what I should do. I went from a size 22 at my heaviest to a size 2 and even then I was told that my goal should be a…

Great post.

Perhaps-depending on your overall activity level- but based on your initial post, I don't think you are at nearly the deficit that you think you are.

Great job!

Definitely try upping your water intake especially if you are spending time in the sun and exercising. Also if you consume alcohol and/or caffeine you might want to cut back on that. My hubby plays tennis a few times a week in the heat and humidity. Sometimes he plays for three hours with only very short breaks. He…

Family is coming to visit for the first time since I moved away twelve years ago so I am super excited.

I would prefer to see an objective study with more subjects over a much longer period of time.

Am I missing something? 20 people...Six week study. That hardly seems comprehensive or conclusive to me.

I went through a phase of eating about a pint a day five or six days a week and was still losing a half pound to 1 pound a week on average. Just made sure I wasn't eating too many calories. I like Halo Top, but I am sensitive to lactose, so I would sometimes have a little bit of stomach upset with that. I am sticking with…

Same here.

Way to go! :) :) :)

Do you know how much sodium and sugar you consume on average daily? How much water do you drink in a day? If your sugar and salt intake is high you may want to consider lowering your intake and see if that helps. Also, if you don't drink much water, consider drinking more.

Please talk to your doctor. I also agree with what others have suggested about calorie dense foods such as nuts, nut butters, avocado, maybe cheese etc. Whole foods are usually the better option but if you don't have the appetite for them maybe a protein shake or smoothie with healthy add-ins would help.

Since late March of this year I have been gradually decreasing my carb intake and upping my fat intake. I have lost 17 pounds since then and have more energy than I have ever had and I don't get hungry very often and have had few cravings. I had a few higher carb days, especially early on, but have found it easier to stay…

Based on OP's stats and info shared assuming she is logging correctly it sounds like she has been eating at a deficit. Every body is different and people lose at different rates. If sodium and carbohydrate intake is higher than necessary that could contribute to water retention. Some people hold water easier than others.…

Likely water retention.

Never said that. However, it may be possible to slow down your metabolism if you cut too drastically for too long.

Depending on your height and weight you may be consuming too few calories. Have you figured your TDEE? The app might suggest 1200 calories and a certain macro ratio, but I know that would not work for me. If I consume too few calories for too long my weight loss stalls. I upped my base calories to 1500 from 1200 and…

Have you considered lowering your carbohydrate intake and increasing healthy fats and protein?
