@helengains - What are some of the strategies you (or anyone else reading this thread) have to help you "cope" with putting on the weight? I could use some suggestions. I start to get weird when my pants start fitting tight so I lose focus. thanks!

I'm late to the topic- i just want to clarify for my own understanding- Apetamin causes the person to feel more hungry? It's not a weight gain shake as @BinaryPulsar mentioned, correct? I'm working on gaining. How quickly have you all seen gain results?

@CharlieBeansmomTracey - I mis-typed, I should have stated "If I have 1800 calories per day" as you mentioned in your example at the beginning of the thread, not TDEE, so the example I was *trying* to reference is the following: If you have 1800 and eat say 1300 leaving 500 calories, and you burn 500 your calories will now…

@slimmingforme - I am a new user of the Garmin. (using your example); If you have 1800 calories and burn 500 it will go up to 2300 calories. If I eat lets say 2000 calories, am I in deficit despite my TDEE being 1800?

@usmcmp - I am bulking and getting my MFP daily calories however, I have not been meeting my fat (g) per day. Does this matter if I am getting the calories?

@mmapags I am definitely not in competition nor do I intend to be at this point. I just want to keep my leanness and "thicken" myself whilst keeping my body fat about the same.

Also do you eat more calories on the days that you workout harder and the maintenance amount on the days that you don't or eat more calories consistently throughout the "bulking period"? @usmcmp - thank you again, you have a lot of great info. My next question- what is the difference between a "clean" bulk versus just bulking. I've read that food shouldn't be looked at as "clean" versus "dirty"? I just wanted to know how to keep my bulking as lean as possible.

ok, so how accurate is MFP with estimating required calories for gain? I have been meeting the calorie req. for +1lb on MFP. My carb limit is stated on my food diary on MFP as the # of carbs I should have daily to +1lb/week.

@usmcmp Thank you! I don't tend to consume much fat, and my carbs intake is mostly complex. I typically meet my carb intake req. for +1lb. gain on MFP (I don't go over), and I always seem to double my daily recommended fiber and go over my protein limit. Will I gain weight doing this? How have you faired on Junel? Did it cause weight gain?
