WOW! Now that's something to think about. Also, as those extra grams are making their 3 day trip, more grams are beginning their 3 day journey. Theoretically, you (we) always have 3 (more or less) days of extra grams.

I'll be 68 next month and trying to lose the 30+ pounds I gained after an injury and subsequent surgery. I try to log 12,000+ fitbit steps per day. MFP has my calorie goal set at 1200 and I usually eat back most of my exercise calories. Yesterday I ate back 700 exercise calories and was disheartened to see I gained 2…

Yup - I feel this way too. Last week I had a 4500 calorie deficit and gained 2 ounces - :(

With no snacks (cookies, chips, etc.) in the house, last night I mindlessly ate almost the whole 16 oz container of cottage cheese. :o I was only going to have a spoonful. Fortunately, I'm still within my calorie goal. However, up .2 lbs this morning from the sodium. Yes - I was over my sodium goal.

I agree with gamerbabe. Why give it up? I use a tblsp of half and half in each cup @ 20 calories each. I figure I'm in this for the long haul and I intend to fit all of my food 'needs' aka loves into my calorie goal.

battered fried fish and chips (french fries) with tons of condiments - tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, catsup with vinegar on fries. My favorite food!
-
I use a tablespoon of half & half. 20 calories.

90 minutes of cardio. WOW~ I'd be falling down. Awesome!

Very inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing. You've already helped so many people.

I drink MIchelob Ultra Light - 95 calories and 2.5 carbs. MFP counts the carbs as 3.

You look absolutely wonderful! What an inspiration!

Since the step aerobic class is step based, it is not necessary to log it as Fitbit will transfer that information over to MFP.

Rotisserie chicken, steamed vegetables and salad.

Thank you so much. No, it isn't affecting my eating goals, but I fretted it would affect my totals at the end of the week. I jogged around the house and they are back. You are the BEST! :)
-
Thank you. How can I force MFP and Fitbit to sync before midnight - like, right now?

I'm glad I read this. I started some weight training a few days ago and gained some water weight. Today, though I was under goal again, my sodium was way over. Because of more weight training today and the excess sodium, I'm expecting another gain tomorrow. :(

^ This - I've had the flu twice in my adult life. First time I was about 21, second about 45. I don't believe I had a vaccination either of those years. When you've had the flu, without a doubt, you know it's the flu. It is indeed horribly horrible. Now that I'm a senior citizen and in a risk population, I get the extra…

During my career in the business world, my observations have proven this correct, with one recent exception. The current president is the heaviest person in the whole organization. Nonetheless, heavier folks in middle management did not advance and heavier folks in the staff never advanced into middle management. Sad!

Thanks everyone for the motivation and tips. I did go back for my 3rd session today. The facility I attend is a Wellness and Fitness Center affiliated with the hospital. All the equipment is state of art with an olympic size pool. The director of the "Next Steps" program has a B.S. in Exercise Science with the following…

I get this. I've been following this thread and am becoming more and more motivated to join the challenge. I'm 67 and live in a retirement community where many of the other seniors gather every day for happy hour(s). Being seniors, the happy hour(s) are early bird hours, starting early. I've started to cut back, but I need…

There are underpants at Walmart which advertise they are used for the tummy jiggles. They feel a little bit heavier than microfiber. They are designed to pull higher up over the jiggly stuff.

I'm in.

Celery and low fat cream cheese or radishes and low fat cream cheese, handful of sugar snap peas. Wasa lite rye crackers (60 calories for 2) with peanut butter or sharp cheese.

I vape and have for almost 6 years. I agree - Don't vape at the gym.

It is indeed a HORRIBLE surgery and HORRIBLE recovery. I am just starting my 7th month after surgery repairing a full thickness tear. Though it's getting better, I still have days when I wonder if the surgery was worth it. Again my recommendation is to see an Ortho Dr. Don't risk an injury that could be irreparable.

chips and dip. Pretty much any kind of chip or dip. I can't control myself. I have to eat all of the dip and all of the chips.

Welcome - you can do this!

Welcome!

Not only can't I sleep if I'm hungry, but sometimes I wake up after a couple of hours of sleep and feel the need to eat. In the past I would scour the kitchen and cupboards for a snack. Most often those snacks were calorie laden (chips, crackers and peanut butter, toast, cookies, etc.). I still haven't found a very…
