You are very welcome!

Don't let it overwhelm you by making more of it than it really is. As stated it was one meal. Any journey toward better health is a marathon, not a sprint. Life still needs to be worth living. If there is a situation in which you were going to have a meal that was outside of your norm as far as calorie counts go....getting…

My initial goal weight was determined by the 120 pounds I decided I wanted to lose. So I guess mine was determined by the fact I wanted to be able to say that when asked "how much have you lost". Along the way I started to pick clothing sizes I'd hoped to be in when I reached that goal. I have taken off the pounds and can…

Why do you believe it is simply unsustainable? I lost 120 lbs in 10.5 months, moved to maintenance and this morning weighed 1 pound less than I did at goal.

I can now fit into a size medium shirt, down from a 5X.

Positives...The feeling of accomplishing a goal I set for myself that took nearly a year of serious commitment to achieve, MUCH better health, feel great, clothes shopping no longer causes near panic attack reactions, and the genuine compliments when they come. Negatives - The naysayers, those who have some opinion how…

Oddly, it wasn't really an issue in the year I was working toward my goal. Probably because I still had that goal to reach so that's what I focused on. I set the bar high when I laid out my plan. Did the 2 lb a week setting on MFP and, with the exception of a vacation to New Orleans and Christmas, I didn't have a week…

Yes, I have tracked my food through the whole process and still do. I never had understood eating disorders before. I knew they were real and legitimate, I'm not down playing the seriousness of the struggle for those who fight that battle everyday. But now I can definitely see how they can manifest. The mind can be a…

On those occasions when you do go out to a restaurant you don't care about being seated in booths anymore.

I honestly didn't start for myself. Show of hands, who else spent years taking care of others at the expense of yourself? While I had known for a long time that I needed to lose weight and get healthy I honestly just didn't care enough to try. Too many serious issues to go into so we'll leave it at not caring. Then back at…

I regularly fall short of the MFP calorie target. It's calling for 2400 a day. I don't know how I'd eat that much, and eat healthy, every day. I'm regularly stuffed just on what I'm eating now.

In no particular order... except for the one I saved for last. - That no matter how well you think you've prepared for it, you will often still be rendered speechless when the backhanded compliment or outright rude statement comes flying out of someone's mouth. - That when eating healthy foods instead of junk, just how…

I fully expected the rate of loss to slow after the initial big drops from water loss, etc. The 3.3 was the average at that point. The past month/5 weeks it's been much closer to the 2lb a week rate..which I'm fine with. It took years of bad eating and no exercise to pack it all on, it's surely not all coming off in 6-9…

Thanks for the responses. Hit a bit of a wall this past week. Just stayed level, no loss no gain. Energy levels took a dip as well. Went back and looked at my daily intakes vs calories burned and macros for the week. Looks like I significantly under ate. Not intentionally. Best guess is that between the garden coming in…
