Gymshark all the way. I was a die hard Nike leggings fan until I tried Gymshark and I found they suck me in and don't roll down...brilliant

I don't know if I qualify for your thread...I am 25 and 5ft4. February 2015 - 170 lbs October 2017 - 136 lbs I am now 146 lbs (result of honeymooning and Christmas!) I don't have much to lose, probably about 6 lbs to get to my ideal weight. It has been a very slow process and I have had ups and downs, especially depending…

https://boombod.com/ It's sachets of dietary fibre that you mix with water and take before meals, it's supposed to reduce your appetite and help you to eat less. It's been heavily promoted by so-called 'celebrities' in the UK but from researching it it doesn't seem to have a lot of 'real people' stories behind it. So I…

I get 8 hours most nights, and could sleep longer if I didn't have to work!! I don't wake up at all...I am dead to the world.

For me I want to look good on holiday, so when I'm struggling I visualize myself in that bikini on a beach, and how I want to look and feel wearing it. Gets me through tough sessions at the gym, and steers me away from the chocolate aisle at the supermarket. Be kind to yourself, one treat here and there isn't going to…

The best, lots of items are already in the system so you can make good use of the scanner on the app. But it's only as good as how accurate you are, so make sure you weigh everything that is fresh and log every single thing, right down to that one biscuit you took from a co-worker! Good luck.

it is discouraging, but you have to look at the long term rather than short term, and how the good habits you're instilling now will lead to weight loss, better health, fitness etc in the long run, even if you can't see the benefits right now. :)

treat exercise like part of your day, like brushing your teeth.

between 1400 and 2000 depending on how I feel. I am pretty active and do a high impact class at the gym three/four times a week and try and do at least 10,000 steps on the days when I'm not at the gym. I am losing very slowly, but then I don't have much to lose. I am trying to focus on toning up more than anything and just…

My tastes change week to week! I lived off tuna for lunch last week, this week is veg soup...just depends what I feel like when I'm shopping. I have a habit of eating a food to death then moving on lol

Berkshire, England. Terrible weather prevents me from doing much outside during the Winter but I work at a University so the odd nice day means a walk around campus
-
I only wish I was as strong as you, I just can't do it. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and I exercise a lot. So I figure I can have one vice lol
-
seriously, just stick with it. as the above said increase your calories but don't eat back all of your exercise calories. my weight fluctuates for a while and then will suddenly drop (google the Whoosh effect). Good luck! x

I have used MFP for the same reason, getting married on 27th October. The good news is you have time on your side - depending on how much you want to lose obviously! My best advice is stick it out, be patient, even when you are frustrated with a lack of results. Don't beat yourself up when you have an off day, just get…

Guacamole. Chocolate or wine?

I'm from Bracknell, Berkshire. Currently losing weight using MFP for my wedding on 27th October. My final dress fitting is on 7th October so not long to go!!
-
It is indeed! I lost a pound overnight after weighing myself yesterday morning and this morning. Motivation after not losing anything for 12 days!
-
No problem at all, if it helped at least one person it was worth posting.
-
I thought it would have been mentioned but as someone who is not new to MFP but new to the 'Community' section I hadn't seen or heard of it before and as you say there are so many people posting about plateaus! Bodies are very weird and quite often slow to respond to changes. I know mine is. Keep it up though, you look…

at what point did your mind adjust to the weight you had lost? i am losing well but i still have days where i look in the mirror and think i look exactly the same..it's like my mind is playing tricks on me!
-
5ft3. weighed 12.2 stone in January 2014. now weigh 10.5 stone with a goal weight of 9.7 stone in mind. not sure of my measurements as i prefer to watch the scales drop! i am doing a lot of cardio as it works for me and calorie counting keeps me on track...before and after photos below:
-
100%! I started off with a goal in mind and when I started hurtling towards in quite quickly I revised it to a slightly harder goal. sometimes starting off with something so hard is just unmotivating. good for you, keep going!

Not the best before photo, you can see it in my face more than anything...
