Just did it last Friday. I survived. Down 0.6 lbs today. Just made a temporary CICO adjustment. Like you I was (and am) conscious if what took place. That's a key issue in winning at this.

I would probably simplify things quite a bit. First I'd say it is a good thing to have something very difficult to achieve. You have a a goal and it's a worthy one. When you finish this one successfully you may find that you have a taste for more. Now on to the details...Humans covered the planet primarily by walking. No…

Yeah and every 3 to 6 weeks, stop for a week and you'll get a big bump in performance.

The day is young as are you. Take it from who did for decades: Do not waste time. The solution is very simple indeed. To have a friend, be one. Yes it is hard. There is no choice. One will die slow to fast without the company of others. You will be rejected. We all are. Get up and go again...and again. Swallow your fear,…

The scale can create an unhealthy obsession. It is just a tool and should be used like one. I weigh myself once a week at the same time and at the same level of hydration (dry) and in the AM before breakfast. The rest of the week I use a too tight pair of jeans to check my fat level at the waist. This is the poor mans fat…

Body weight training is good. Sand bags are good. Gymnastic rings are good. Funk Roberts is good. Light weights used to ring out every bit of pain is very good indeed.

HIIT does not burn that many calories...and it doesn't.

I use this chart: https://verywell.com/pedometer-steps-to-calories-converter-3882595 It will give you a higher number of burn then the Vivofit. I take the difference between the two and add them then divide by 2 to give me a more accurate number. I do not know if this is true however, just an attempt to gain accuracy. You…

Your calorie deficit may be too high. Take a look at it and you may need to eat a bit more or do a bit less. You will plateau and stay there if you are out of balance on either. I would also look at body composition via a tight pair of pants weigh yourself less. Check yourself in the mirror more often and monitor the…

When I hit a goal I bust it loose for one day and then climb back into the harness until the next goal is reached. If you don't tip off the rails now and then you will derail completely. I have before. Don't want to again.
-
I busted through a plateau today so I binged out on bagels, cream cheese, oatmeal cookies, and apple strudel. >:)

Pair of gymnastic rings for about 30 bucks. 21 x 36 duffel bag. Cut off the straps, fill it with rubber mulch, and tape up the top. It doesn't make a mess and doesn't leak. That's all about 60.00 total. The rings and the bag will gas most people out pretty quick. I'm outside unless the weather is bad and then I'm at PF…

It depends on how old you are. Older you are, the faster it goes. Try 1/2 your usual training volume and go at the lower end of steady state.

Get yourself a TDEE calculator and plug in your current stats. That will give you your ideal weight. There apps that do it or go here: https://tdeecalculator.net/ The only hassle with this is that your activity level is an estimate and not very accurate unless you are sedentary. Good place to start though.
