Which is why I asked do you FEEL it accurately represents your health? I was curious if peoples' opinions line up with the fact that BMI doesn't solely represent someone's health.
-
That's helpful, thank you (:

Those body fat calculators are never accurate, you need to see a doctor for a correct BF measurement. And a BMI of 19.5 is healthy, anything under 18.5 is considered low

I have a hard time with finding a middle ground, either I'm eating lower calories to lose weight or over eating. Maybe that's just me
-
I don't see how that helps, I can be given a specific calorie amount for maintenance but the issue is it's tempting to go back to old habits of over eating
-
Good point, I just mean there has to be a lot of threads already made on the topic and members can search the forums and see a lot of information already out there

This topic is just annoying now. It's simple, calories in calories out will cause weight loss with a deficit. But common sense says certain foods are healthier for you than others. It's that simple. What's better for you, a banana or a cupcake? Easy enough. You can eat 1200 calories in cupcakes or 1200 in bananas. You'll…

Source? I base my information from experience and plateaus do exist. I've logged everything very carefully and measured it with a good scale yet gone a week without my weight budging in the past.
-
Plateaus are a thing, even if someone is logging food down to the gram. I've had situations where my weight didn't budge for a week regardless of logging carefully

1) Calorie counting works. Health aside, when it comes to weight loss it will always be calories in, calories out. You could eat 1200 calories of chocolate or 1200 calories of fruit and lose weight either way. As far as cholesterol/BP/HR, you're better off with the fruit, but you would still lose weight on the chocolate…

Thanks for the feedback guys

That's fantastic progress!!

This pisses me off too, why is it a woman's responsibility to monitor her body language? I can't just run without making sure I look unapproachable? That's a load of BS

I just smile and let them know they're number 1 (:

Just curious, have you seen a functional chiropractic neurologist? I used to work at a neuro clinic and we saw a lot of patients with POTS. Some of the therapy the neurologist used was mostly chiro based, but it worked on specific areas of the brain that helped patients with some of the symptoms like vertigo and migraines.…

I think a lot of people diet instead of making lifestyle changes. Diets are a quick fix, life style choices stick and keep the weight off

It's a wonderful feeling once you get to the point of looking at fitness as a way of life instead of obsessing over the calories/exercise/appearance/way clothes fit. The more you practice it the more it comes naturally. Sending you a friend request, and anyone else who needs a friend/motivator, feel free to add me (:

Sent a friend request (: I'm also looking for friends if anyone wants to add me
