It's difficult to pin point what your auto immune trigger is. Mine was long term use of birth control pills. While there is no cure all diet to the disease, there are changes you can make that will help calm your immune system down. Cutting out sugar, and processed foods help significantly. Some people also cut out gluten.…

Yes I've read up on it, and have done all the research, was just curious if mineral water was an effective resource.

Thank you damorere, I've been following full keto for nearly a week now, and so far so good. I had already given up sugar, processed foods, and gluten, and my levels have been normal, but I was still falling asleep mid-afternoon, and no matter how much I tried I couldn't get the scale to budge, so I decided to take it a…

Thank you both, I did a web search on the benefit/side effects of the diet for people with Hash, but I couldn't find any clear answer, so it's encouraging to hear that others have had good success with it.

I have Hashimoto's, and was on Armour for a time, but my levels wouldn't stay regulated on it, so we changed to Synthroid, and I haven't had to change my dose in 2 years. I find taking it at night has made a huge difference, because its not interacting with anything else. I stop eating at 6pm and take it around 9pm, also…

You don't have to count calories, just cut out processed food and you can eat a ton. Sure, because mindlessly eating healthy foods doesn't add on weight.

You can do it, one day at a time, one step at a time, one goal at a time. Think of this as a long journey, and not a race, and when you start to doubt yourself, log in, see your progress and renew your resolve, keep moving forward. You will get there. Feel free to add me :)

I would like to be adopted, I'm 46 and am battling Hashimoto's disease. Two of the major symptom’s is weight gain and crushing fatigue. I joined in hopes that the structure of logging my meals will keep me accountable, and help improve my health. My fatigue gets worse if I over exert myself, so I'm more focused on cutting…
